Victoria Grill In Varenna

I visited only the restaurant and the terrace. But since the first moment the hostess made us feel welcome. The attention was nice and friendly, we ordered drinks meanwhile we waited for the table and they gave us complementary snacks too. The view of the restaurant is so nice, everything fit perfectly… the ambiente, the music, the good service of the staff. The food was very delicious to complement the perfect scene. We had an excellent time.

Went to the bar for aperitif. Sensational service, great snacks and drinks overlooking the lake. Friendly and welcoming to non hotel guests. Would highly recommend.

I wandered into this beautiful hotel during my day trip from Milan to Varenna. It was a beautiful hotel and I would like to personally thank Marco from the concierge for his support in arranging a driver for me. I would love to stay at this stunning hotel on my next visit to Varenna, thanks to the amazing service I received.

Amazing stay, perfect location, very friendly staff attentive to all your needs and very professional, and beautiful hotel and rooms! Perfect experience in Varenna at the Royal Victoria. The views are beautiful from everywhere (room, restaurant, the pool). Breakfast is amazing and a dream to start your day with such scenery. 10/10 experience. We will definitely come back and recommend to anyone who stays in the lake Como area as Varenna is much more quiet and charming than Bellagio for example.

Had a room block here for our wedding and the price was unmatched for our guests and the location was very central. Staff was friendly during planning and I have heard mostly great things from our guests.

We loved this restaurant! we loved it so much we ate here at least 4 times in our short stay in Varenna. This bistro is right in the main square and it does not have a water view but it makes up for it with kind attentive staff and delicious food! The pizza, lemon ravioli and the beef with vegetables was awesome!!!

The hotel was fine but they didn’t do anything in particular to make our stay in any way special, which is unusual at this price point relative to other hotels we’ve stayed at around the world. Room: Bed was comfortable, room was clean, they had standard amenities like tea/coffee and even a few pieces of nice biscotti and apples to welcome us. The bathroom shower stall was truly tiny - this really started to wear on me by night #3. The breakfast buffet was nice, but unfortunately there we saw birds eating bits of the food directly from the buffet 2 out of 3 days we were there (they seemed to especially like the sweet stuff like pancakes and pastries). Undoubtedly some unsuspecting guests ate pieces of food that the birds had already nibbled - a recipe for food borne illness. We were woken up every morning at 7am by the church bells next door tolling for a full minute, and one of the nights with fireworks going for several minutes just next door for a wedding. It was a bit of a shame. Glad I brought good ear plugs but they couldn’t block this stuff out.
