Victoria Grill In Varenna

Incredibly nice and professional staff. Comfortable and spacious classic room. Loved that the Cipressi Gardens came with the room, as well as little touches throughout the stay (prosecco, candy). Wonderful!

We didn’t stay at the hotel but had an amazing lunch while exploring Varenna, the food and the stuff are lovely and we enjoyed it a lot!!!

We stayed here for three days before our wedding in Lake Como and I LOVED our stay at Hotel Royal Victoria. The best thing about this hotel was the staff (HUGE shoutout to Marco the concierge for walking me to a restaurant to get reservations and my bartender pictured below). They went above and beyond for us. The rooms were a bit small, but the view from the balcony was unbelievable (pictured drinking wine on below). The pool and restaurants are excellent. Would definitely come back. They also have a private boat dock for private boat trips around the lake. So beautiful here!

Amazing location, Right from the bar you can view the beautiful lake como and the mountains, They were so friendly to let me work with my laptop there! The staff was great, The drinks are amazing!

The place, the attention to detail, the competence and kindness of the staff, the attention to the customer... really so much stuff!!

I would absolutely recommend this hotel! The location is perfect. The staff is great and the concierge was so helpful. Rooms were awesome and the breakfast was incredible. The best cappuccinos of my trip were from the hotel breakfast! Pool and views are wonderful as well.

Our experience at Hotel Royal Victoria was outstanding. The hotel is in a great location as it is in the the plaza of Varenna and makes all bars, restaurants, and shops very walkable. Our room was a great size and had an amazing view of the lake. Make sure to visit Aziz in the hotel bar and grab a drink while taking in the view of the lake. Aziz was a great host and went above and beyond by making us a dinner reservation at the restaurant he recommended (Al Prato) which was one of our favorite meals of the trip.

There was a problem in our suite and they gave us a better hotel. Lovely staff.

Precioso restaurante con vistas a la plaza, muy buen servicio! Nos ofrecieron un almuerzo de cortesía y el equipo no pudo haber hecho más por nosotros.

He viajado mucho por Italia y nunca he visto esto, además de los 3. 50 euros/persona de coperto, (que es normal) en la parte inferior de nuestra factura de la cena era una “propina sugerida” de otro 10%. No es normal. Cualquier información de viaje sobre Italia le dirá que la propina no es necesaria porque está cubierto en el coperto. Y en las 2 semanas que llevamos aquí en Varenna, hemos comido en todos los restaurantes. Nunca se sugirió una propina además de ‘coperto’. Si no estás prestando atención a tu factura, nunca te darías cuenta de esto y simplemente la sumarías y la pagarías. Además, nos dijeron que la botella de vino de 40 euros no estaba disponible y nos empujaron a comprar una botella que costaba 10 euros más. Cuidado turistas americanos, te ven venir. Sí, la comida y el servicio eran buenos. Incluso volvimos para otra comida y no nos decepcionó, pero, nos decepcionó ver lo de la propina - y nuestro camarero claramente no estaba contento cuando no sumamos los 14 euros adicionales.
