We stopped here for lunch by chance while passing through Pavullo, and we'll definitely be back! The place is very welcoming and quaint, the staff is extremely friendly, and we had a wonderful meal! Truffled eggs, rib-eye steak, and an excellent roast beef with mushrooms: the ingredients are exceptionally high-quality and the dishes are meticulously prepared. We couldn't have chosen better. At the end of the meal, with coffee, they brought us two liqueurs and homemade desserts, which, like everything else, did not disappoint. Another positive note is the prices, which are average and not excessive. The selection of local products, available for purchase on-site, is also excellent.

A historic restaurant in the Modena mountains in Pavullo, offering friendly service, high-quality food, and reasonable prices. The shop is fully equipped to sell excellent local specialties, and I recommend the sublime cured meats. The meats are spectacular.

I was at this restaurant recently. The appetizer was good: polenta with mushrooms, simple but well-made. The only downside at the beginning was that the wine arrived after the appetizer and was brought to the table already opened, which I personally don't appreciate (especially considering the €3.50 cover charge).
We then ordered the Florentine steak, which is their signature dish. Honestly, I wasn't convinced: for my taste, the way it was cut didn't enhance the quality of the meat (the few thicker cuts were significantly better), and the griddle (perhaps lava stone) wasn't hot enough to properly grill the meat, creating a nice crust on the outside. Halfway through, since it had cooled down, we asked for a change and it was promptly replaced, but again, the heat didn't last long.
The grilled vegetable side dish was decent, but could be improved: a little more could be done.
We finally ordered a berry panna cotta, which wasn't bad. And we were offered panettone and amaro.
Overall, the experience was positive, and I still recommend the restaurant. I think the first courses were very good, and I'll probably return to try those.

We went for lunch as a couple on a trip. It's a nice place for a trattoria, and if you're lucky enough to get a table near the window, the view is excellent.
We knew the specialty was tortelloni in various combinations and the Florentine steak. We opted for appetizers, one of pinzini with mixed cured meats and a melted cheese with truffle. They were truly excellent. The truffle was black, so it wasn't particularly tasty, but there was plenty of it. The prosciutto was very good. They offered us a slice of fresh ricotta, which was very good and very welcome. We doubled the pinzini, which we thought were delicious and well-cooked.
For the main course, the Florentine steak, for us since it was the first time, cooked at the table on the oil stone, was a real experience. The meat was exquisite... the only thing I didn't understand was whether the bone was from the bone. The side dish was baked potatoes, cooked in too much oil, almost fried, but they could be better cooked.
They give you menus, including a well-sourced wine list at reasonable prices for all budgets.
The service is coordinated by a very friendly and kind hostess, along with several assistants. Nothing to complain about, and the timing is spot on. For dessert, they offer their almond tart; we bought a bag to take home.
The bill was around €45 per person.
