If you want to dine in a real Tuscan way, I can highly recommend this restaurant. We were warmly welcomed and could choose a seat. We chose the platter with bruschetta, meats and fried pasta as a starter. The steak with mushrooms was very tasty and perfectly prepared. The dessert was very tasty, we have not encountered this anywhere else. This is also evident, this is the only restaurant that serves this unique dessert. The service is very friendly and knowledgeable. Good advice is given regarding the choice of wine. The ambiance is good. You can eat outside on a nicely lit terrace, but you can also eat inside. This restaurant is absolutely recommended!

The service was very good and very friendly. Unfortunately, the food didn't really impress me. It was OK, but I've had much better food in Lucca. So, I wouldn't necessarily go back.

I give it 4 stars - the food was generally tasty, but the cod I ordered was dry, as if it had been reheated. The polenta was terribly salty, I didn't finish it all. Apart from that, the food was good - I liked the zucchini flowers with gorgonzola. The service was nice, a very nice touch was the free dessert at the end of our visit - extremely refreshing. ♿️ The bathroom is not adapted for disabled people. Very little space in the toilet, even a healthy person can barely fit.

We had a delicious dinner here, with friendly service and excellent mascarpone cream!
The meat dish was excellent, but the pasta dish lacked a bit of zest.

Turned up without a reservation and the owner didn’t seem very keen but were given a table for two. Waitresses were lovely though and the food was smashing. Let us share an appetiser then we had a second course and sweet each and a carafe of house red all for €56, great value for money.

I was looking for something authentic, traditional, handmade, and with real taste. That's exactly what I found here. The prices are fair, the quality is very impressive, and the service is attentive and competent. I'll be happy to come back and recommend it wholeheartedly.

Tipica trattoria lucchese.
Siamo stati ben accolti dal proprietario e non abbiamo aspettato molto per mangiare.
Tuttavia non posso essere pienamente soddisfatto. Buono l'antipasto e i tortelli. Gli spaghetti alle vongole, invece, erano pieni di aglio sminuzzato, il che li rende indigeribili. L'aglio ci deve essere, ma non in questa quantità... Sembrava un piatto italiano cucinato da un asiatico. Ottima, invece, l'orata con le patate. Una perplessità, invece sul vino. Abbiamo chiesto un vino con un buon rapporto prezzo/qualità e ci è stato portato un vino da 30€ (al supermercato non costa più di 7/8) . Certamente è anche colpa nostra che non abbiamo chiesto il prezzo, prima di consumarlo. Infine nota di demerito sul conto. 110 in due, senza ricevuta fiscale.

Un'altra trattoria che, in centro a Lucca, offre i piatti della cucina tradizionale. L'ambiente è gradevole, il servizio è corretto e la cucina è all'altezza delle attese. Abbiamo così assaggiato la tipica zuppa frantoiana, buona ma in cui, personalmente, non avrei aggiunto il profumo della "finocchina". Bene anche le altrettanto tipiche "rovelline", per i non lucchesi fettine di manzo impanate e fritte e cotte nel sugo di pomodoro, capperi e odori. Poi la frittura di verdurine julienne, qui chiamate sbrigativamente "tempura" di verdure. D'accordo che il termine orientale è ormai entrato nell'uso, ma i vecchi toscani quando mai lo hanno adoperato ?
Per finire il buccellato e l'amaro Biandina hanno completato la cena lucchese, ad un costo giusto che ci fa apprezzare e consigliare il locale.
