We dined here on the recommendation of Mario from Hotel Palazzo Alexander... and what a great recommendation !!! it was beautiful dining room, ( both dinning rooms were lovely) our server was so sweet and kind, she spoke English. She was professional yet very warm very efficient. My husband has a sliced steak which he thought was excellent and he's very fussy/particulare!!… I had a specialty of LUCCA. ...It was a sliced pork fried with.patate al forno. Absolutely delicious...and a contorno del giorno Peppers, onions, artichokes, and other delicious vegetables molto buono! Affordable prices..for dessert my husband tried the tiramisu cafe.. He absolutely loved it and he's generally not a big fan of tiramisu.. it was ,Great and I had the lucca Specialty raisin bread with gelato on top, it was heavenly/paradiso !!

Lovely restaurant in the centre of Lucca! Excellent value and generous portions! We ate very well and the food was super fresh and homemade! The meat was cooked to perfection and tasted like butter! Excellent wine! Thank you 💪🏻🙏🏻

I really enjoyed this restaurant with limited seating and an intimate yet homey atmosphere. The food was fantastic, especially the cured meats and roast chicken. I'll definitely be back, especially considering the reasonable prices.

It was a real stroke of luck to get here without a reservation and find a colorful, welcoming trattoria with knowledgeable staff, excellent cuisine featuring traditional recipes, reasonably priced from appetizer to dessert, and filled with locals and tourists alike. The cappelletti in brodo, the lamb cutlets, the Chianti... Everything I dreamed of, perfectly executed. Thank you! 💯

This is the best kept secret in Lucca!! Amazing traditional food, great service and frankly the owner is fun (and not rude as other people suggested in the reviews). We went there at the end of December, the atmosphere was cozy and we had the most amazing pappardella al cinghiale, a super zuppa, beatiful tordelli, some antipasti that were delicious, the most yummi dessert (buccellato with ice cream) and an half bottle of good red wine. The bill was super honest. We loved it!! Highly recommend if you are looking for the REAL thing, But please don't go there if you are looking for the "menu in English", pasta al pesto and burrata😉😉😉

Very clever organization for New Year's Eve. They had a first sitting from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, à la carte at a fixed price, with a choice of 3 or 4 first courses and the same number of second courses. A complete meal was €38. Then from 9:00 PM, the classic New Year's Eve dinner. We were there for the first sitting with friends. Between us, we ordered almost every dish available. We were all very satisfied with the quality. The service was also very well organized.
