This is the only restaurant that we visited twice on our trip to Italy! One of my clients told me about it. This is a family owned business and we had the same waiter every time we went. The service is very good. Very friendly and welcoming folks. The food is perfect. The wine is superb. We also have food allergies which weren’t an issue for them. The menu is very traditional, the location is a quiet alley, yet you’re in a tourist area near the Pantheon. 🐓The owner was even trying to teach my boyfriend the word gallina, Italian for hen! ❤️ We hope to visit again!

It's the best restaurant in Italy, I've been in Rome for so many times, then I found this restaurant. We tried ossobucco, Gorgonzola filled and saltimbocca, it's really delicious. We will always be visit this restaurant in our next visits.

Amazing and friendly service. If you want to experience what it's like to dine at a locals restaurant, this is the place to be! We found this place on our last day in an alley and was really glad this was our last meal in Rome as it was the best way to end our trip.

Happened to find this place while looking for steak, we had 7 different plates across two days (how could we not come back?) and I loved every single plate more than the last. Please take the time to come here, you will not regret it. Cozy, homey, lovely service, great wine and the food has been bar my favorite food in several trips to Rome.

We were well received and our order was quickly served. The wine list was excellent! The three of us ordered the same dish, gnocchi with shrimp sauce... the pasta was good, but there was not much sauce and only 3 small pieces of shrimp were served on each plate. We were a little disappointed with the food on New Year's Eve. Rome has a ton of great restaurants and I plan on returning to the city, but not to Vecchia Locanda.

Gorgeous food, excellent service! Traditional , small, Italian restaurant. Filipe and staff were helpful, excellent wine choices. Delicious food. Authentic and genuine- great choice of food, from seafood to stakes! There is so much choice for restaurants, it was hard to know where to go. We have been to other restaurants near by that are not as good- so glad we found this place for our last night.

This is a charming neighborhood gem that’s 5 minutes walk from the pantheon. We were seated in the downstairs wine cellar which is very cozy and cute. The waiter is very friendly and welcoming. The wine selection offers a good variety of options but not overwhelming. The food feels authentic. We had the octopus/potato appetizer and chickpeas/porcini soup, Tortellini with truffle and veal Ossobuco. It’s hearty, rustic and delicious. It’s one of our favorite dinner in Rome.

In 6 days in Roma, we loved this place the most. The people were so SO sweet and the food was very well done. The classics were made perfectly, it was literally the best meal in the city. As far as details, they made excellent wine suggestions from our preferences, the family who runs it were so warm and friendly it was easy to forget that one of the world’s greatest cities was outside. Please take some time here. Order a lot. Then order another bottle.

Ottima cena! In questo piccolo locale ho cenato con piatti della tradizione, semplici ma cucinati molto bene. Gnocchi alla Sorrentina, fatti in casa, morbidi e ben conditi; spinaci saltati, ottimi e una buonissima pera al Barolo. Tutto veramente gradevolissimo, anche l’atmosfera e il servizio. Un locale che strizza l’occhio ai turisti senza essere “turistico”. Molto consigliato!

Disfrutamos tanto de este restaurante, que volvimos en un par de días. Es una pequeña empresa familiar. Los propietarios y el personal son acogedores y amables. , proporcionando un excelente servicio. La comida recién cocinada es excelente y a un precio razonable, al igual que el vino. El vino de la casa es muy buena relación calidad-precio. Realmente no hay nada que pueda fallar. Es cálido y acogedor, el ambiente es agradable y acogedor.
