Some pleasant certainties, those rare entities that resist the entropy of everyday life better than any stoic existential survival manual, not only deserve recognition, but almost call for active defense, like small fortresses of meaning on this steep path we call life.
Among these, with unassailable empirical evidence and a certain emotional connection, is the Vecchia Lama restaurant in Lama Mocogno.
The cuisine is distinguished by a coherence that borders on Aristotelian ethics: never a hesitation, never a flaw. Here and there, elegant quotation marks of refinement, small, cultured winks, which nevertheless never slip into affectation, admirably avoiding the mannerist drift that so often afflicts ambitious dining.
Fabrizio's touch in the kitchen, and Loredana and Sara's smiles in the dining room: not simply service elements, but a constant feature of the place, a reassuring presence that reconciles diners with the very idea of hospitality.
I note, with the thoughtfulness of an archivist of pleasure, the fragrant freshness of the sautéed cavolo nero: a seemingly humble dish, yet capable of a depth of flavor that borders on the metaphysical.
It's no surprise, then, that the restaurant boasts a Michelin Bib Gourmand nomination: an accolade that, for once, seems more like a duty than an investiture.

I was looking for a place to get some excellent takeout pasta, and Vecchia Lama didn't disappoint. I ordered tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms (€10), macaroni with white ragù (€9), and fried porcini mushrooms (€9), and I really couldn't say which I liked better. The handmade pasta, Apennine mushrooms, and locally raised pork ragù made the meal truly exceptional. I can't rate the service, but the owner was very kind. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because the portions could have been a little larger for the price. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience the authentic Tuscan-Emilian Apennines' zero-mile produce.

We had lunch at this beautiful restaurant for a baptism and were pampered from start to finish. The dishes were prepared with great care, using quality ingredients, and the entire staff was friendly. We'll definitely be back to try other dishes. Well done! 🔝✨️

We immediately had a positive impression from the phone call to make a reservation. They were organized and available to provide directions to the slopes. We booked a table with a high chair reserved for our baby. The elegant venue features helpful and qualified wait staff. Excellent food and good value. The terrace with a panoramic view is very beautiful. Recommended!

We visited this restaurant for Christmas lunch and were impressed by the quality of the service and food. The atmosphere is welcoming and meticulously maintained, with balanced flavors and the freshest ingredients. Special praise goes to the wait staff, who are professional and attentive to their guests' needs. Excellent value. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended.

Very nice place, with a covered veranda overlooking the mountains. Delicious porcini mushroom crostini. I personally didn't like the rib-eye steak, presented in 10 cubes on a bed of cold hazelnut cream, which also cooled the meat. The tartare was very good and fresh. The desserts were very well made and tasty. The Cleto Chiarli Lambrusco wine was excellent. The sorbet was made like traditional ice cream, not liquid. The waiters were helpful and friendly. Very clean place, with cloth tablecloths, which I really appreciate.
