Wow, what delicious food, and what a lovely woman helped us. She made great recommendations and was incredibly helpful! Deliciously tender meat, good wine, and a beautiful location. Highly recommended.

Good food, great staff and amazing place!

We went for dinner for the first time, attracted by the excellent reviews. The wait was incredibly long, and the service was inattentive: we waited 90 minutes between the appetizer and the main course. We noticed that tables who arrived after us ate before us. The tortelli were good, but the bigoli with sardines was terrible. The dish was sent back entirely because it was so salty. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he replied that I hadn't understood the dish because I wasn't used to certain flavors. I should point out that I had already had pasta with sardines, but that was inedible, so it was completely the wrong dish. For dessert, we had apple pie with vanilla ice cream, but they informed us that the ice cream was out of stock. We had the cake brought to us anyway without the ice cream, and we were charged full price for the dessert. They didn't even have the good sense to remove the dish from the bill, which was sent back. I wouldn't return, despite the charming location.

We went to Borghetto because we were recommended to visit it due to the beautiful town. When we decided to have dinner there because the sunset, the views of the water, the bridge, etc. were wonderful, we found La Vecchia Bottega in front of us. Honestly, their choice was a real success. To begin with, when we arrived and they noticed we were Spanish, they treated us very kindly, trying to speak a little Spanish, and they also recommended that we be served by one of the waiters, who is half South American and half Italian, Johannes (I think that's how it's spelled; if not, I apologize). He was very helpful, pleasant, and on top of that, he gave us great recommendations. We started with a selection of delicious breads and breadsticks, and we ordered a variety of cured meats (ham, cheese, truffle mortadella, pancetta, salami, etc.). The cured meats were spectacular... spectacular! Then we ordered, following their recommendations, a variety of tortellini with several types of fillings...we ended up satiated, they were delicious.

In one of the most beautiful and characteristic places like Borghetto di Valeggio, a restaurant with excellent typical cuisine and perfect service. Correct quality-price ratio

Normal experience but what bothered me the most after paying 170 euros of bill they forgot to charge me a "shot" of grappa for the modest sum of 8 €! Thanks & Adios !!

Primo Maggio e Ristorante zeppo di avventori e personale che corre dalla cucina ai tavoli sia interni che esterni. Ciò premesso servizio rapido ma professionale, comande in arrivo entro tempi ragionevoli, pietanze gustose ed abbondanti. Buona rapporto prezzo / qualità. Esperienza certamente da riprovare in un'occasione più tranquilla.

Tre volte che andiamo a Borghetto e tre volte che scegliamo di pranzare in questo locale caratteristico, tranquillo, situato in una posizione privilegiata e con un menù eccellente. Le due volte precedenti abbiamo pranzato all’interno, mentre stavolta vista la splendida giornata di sole, abbiamo pranzato all’esterno. Cortesia, servizio veloce e discreto, piatti deliziosi e ampia scelta di vini. Possibilità di acquistare i loro ravioli freschi tipici che consiglio assolutamente, per rivivere esperienza di un ottimo piatto anche a casa propria.
