Varadero In Firenze

Amazing seafood, pasta and more.

I had dinner at the Varadero restaurant. The food was excellent, the price was fair, and the staff was friendly and professional. My only complaint is that, while tastefully decorated and clean, the space is a bit small for the number of tables inside. Highly recommended!

Absolutely amazing food and drink. Got the oysters, seafood carpaccio, and the squid ink amatriciana. Delicious across the board. Joanna (sp?) was nothing short of delightful, and I cannot wait to pay them a visit again.

Was pleasantly surprised the dipping for bread was a bit spicy, the lemon tagliolini with seafood was creamy and a bit zesty. The place looks authentic as I was the only one not speaking italian.

Six stars, like in Dubai, but without the travel-related slaughter of mint, because San Jacopino is accessible to everyone, especially to ugly people like my friend and me, who have the habit of exchanging stickers of their miserable existences without skimping on the quality of the libations. And the Varadero is the outpost of resistance to the usual ribongia, where two radiant canephoras (Clizia and Dafne?) serve you fish that are more alive than fresh and tell you how things didn't go so well for them either... And we gulp down the bite, and peace betide their liscaccia! Not to mention when we head to the checkout and have a chat with Che, while Dafne adds the sums: is there a greater catharsis than when you willingly pay without fussing over the numbers?

Simply the best seafood in Florence! Plus, the service and helpfulness of the chef and waiters are exceptional!

Excellent food, very friendly welcome, a place to remember! Definitely worth the detour. We had a wonderful evening.

Great locals restaurant, as a traveller in Italy I found restaurants like this hard to come by. But had a wonderful meal and great service so would really recommend coming here!
