The place is nice, and the location is suggestive. The service was kind and attentive. However, the food was below expectations and the bill was high. Good wine, too bad the wine list was not available (updating).

Experience to have. Excellent food. Small things or large dishes. You choose. Good choice of wines. Tasty and special desserts.
The service is top notch also thanks to a girl, Amy, who is professional and friendly at the same time. The location is beautiful. Very fair prices.

Let's start with the service. Everyone is very kind and ready to satisfy even the most pleasant whims.
Let's continue with the prices. You certainly don't have to go broke to eat very well, and to drink good wine the prices are absolutely commercial.
Finally the Chef. Roberta Padua is a wonderful cook, her innovations and reinterpretations are a delight for the palate. It is not difficult to always look for new tastings, because the young and enterprising Chef will always surprise you.

We were certainly a little early
(around 8 p.m.).
When we arrived the tables outside were not set. We then asked if we could sit outside, no problem, the service set the table for us.
The menu is the place setting, a small menu with fine, regional delicacies.
Unfortunately, some dishes are disproportionate in terms of price and performance.
I was very happy with my crostini.
My husband had the filletto and chose caponata as a side dish. When the plate came,
There was the fillet (100g) and next to it a tablespoon of caponata, very clearly arranged... and the whole thing for 18€!
We had nothing to do with the quality of the food
to suspend.
The service left more to be desired as the evening progressed. When asked, the young man, not really friendly, brought
a few slices of bread.
I hadn't finished eating yet when the table was cleared away rather uncharacteristically.
Conclusion, there is still a lot of room for improvement here!
Adjust prices to portions, or vice versa!
If the service is a little more friendly and motivated, the “Ùmmara” can be a really great place for a cozy evening.

Over-priced & trying too hard to be fancy. We ordered their version of panzanella with fish - the portion was too small. Also ordered spaghetti with pistachio pesto & fish roe. Very creamy, little evidence of pistachios and far too much overpowering fish roe on top which spoiled it. Disappointing.

The restaurant that convinced me the most during the 7 dinners of our Sicilian adventure. The dreamy place, the wonderful Scicli neighborhood and the good food. Selection of high-level wines. I highly recommend it.

A little below expectations regarding the food. Some dishes disproportionate in terms of quality/price ratio (e.g. two octopus tentacles). The cannelloni were a little dry and tasted like they were in the oven (as if they had been reheated) and then you could barely smell some of the ingredients written on the menu. The excessively tasty prawn bisque. Overall we were fine, there is a lot of room for improvement in the kitchen. Little choice on desserts. Excellent drinking.

We accidentally met the chef's aunt, Aunt Iole, in mid-August who recommended this place to us in Scicli 'Ummara, we were very satisfied.
special traditional dishes revisited, I recommend spaghetti with pistachio pesto and tuna bottarga, excellent!!
