U Puppittaru In Palazzolo acreide

15/05/2026: Antonello da Messina towers above all the rest, but it's a shame it's in such poor condition. I couldn't tell from the panels what great calamities it endured; it would be interesting...between the missing parts and the copious replacements, very little remains. The Angel's nose was badly restored; perhaps such a fundamental detail could have been given more consideration. Instead, the palace was greatly restored, the atmosphere intimate, and there was time to observe some interesting details.

15/04/2026: And where, in a museum gallery that's not even well-publicized and famous, do you find an Antonello da Messina that leaves you breathless? And let's not even talk about the rest of the paintings on display!
