FLAVORS... KINDNESS... PRICES... FROM ANOTHER TIME
My wife and I have been returning to No' PUPPITTARU for several years now... and each time the experience pleasantly transports us back in time, as if a time machine transported us outside the now globalized tourism industry that passes off as "typical" what is merely the commercial exploitation of the desire to rediscover tradition and, above all, human relationships.

A very rustic restaurant on a side street in Palazzolo Acreide, in the San Sebastiano district, visited in mid-June.
The place is quite casual, and the atmosphere is very down-to-earth.
The service was a bit imprecise, as there was a misunderstanding regarding the concept of "antipasto": if you mean a pre-meal appetizer, know that here they bring you an entire house platter with cured meats and cheeses. It's better to say, "As a first course..." to avoid confusion.
The criticisms end there. The pasta alla Norma was fantastic, even though I'm not a great connoisseur, coming from the north. The mushroom ravioli was also truly excellent, and the chicken breast was good.
An exceptional point of merit, which leads me to give it five stars, even if it doesn't correspond to the arithmetic average of the other categories, is the price. In addition to the main courses upstairs, there was a large bowl of roasted olives, a house antipasto, a platter of twelve simple yet delicious bruschettas, three salads, and a coffee for the modest price of €34.50 for three. I assure you, we left full and with smiles on our faces.
What can I say? Come on!

Fantastic! On the recommendation of Sara at the information desk, I came here for lunch. It was an excellent experience! Fantastic value, a must-visit for a meal in the area, in my opinion!

If you are a foreigner or a tourist coming from northern Italy, you absolutely must visit this place. It offers traditional Sicilian food, cooked the way it has been for generations — the kind of authentic flavors you find at your grandmother’s home, not in luxury restaurants.
I had gnocchi and nturrateddi, and even tried fish — which I usually avoid in the mountains — and everything was top class. The snails are also very popular here. My son said the meat was fantastic as well.
The best part? It’s very affordable compared to other restaurants in the Syracuse area.
