02/01/2025: It should be noted that it was the first time thanks to the advice of a trusted friend, but let's not dwell on it. Catia, the hostess if not fantastic sommelier, the location is warm and welcoming, you feel truly pampered, and we come to the piece de resistance, the cuisine, something of inexplicable, continuous research on the territory, care in the preparations maximizing what this generous area of Calabria offers. Stopping for lunch or dinner with them is like entering a forest full of perfumes of sensations and experience where every dish is a surprise, for me it deserves a few stars. Trying is believing, for now thank you for this magnificent experience
27/12/2024: Warm atmosphere of an Osteria from an almost lost time, but which makes you fully relive the typical local traditions and flavours. Poor bean and chicory soup... delicious, like the homemade cavatelli with meat ragout (Tagliolini and scrapings were finished, the pasta is handmade daily and all the preparations are in real time... so a little healthy and patient waiting that is worth the quality is a must). Ditto scalloped black pig from Calabria, finally cod stewed Mormannese style with pepper, we finish with buccunotti stuffed with cherry jam served with hot sweet liqueur.
Very patient with our 3 children, Catia the fantastic hostess and guide in the choice of dishes and their story, origin, history, unique guide.
Well done, well done, well done at renewing the tradition and goodness of Pollino, a recommended stop on the way down Mormanno or up the exit of the Campotenese motorway.
