Trattoria Verano In Podenzano

Kudos to the management for the quality of the ingredients and the authenticity of the local cuisine. The lady who looked after us was truly kind and knowledgeable. Definitely worth a try.

We had lunch today at this trattoria near Grazzano Visconti, recommended by a friend. The restaurant is in a quiet location, small and well-maintained, serving traditional cuisine. We were greeted courteously by the owner. We started our lunch with truly excellent cold cuts (coppa, pancetta, and salami), a second helping of Bortellina (a kind of fried gnocco), gorgonzola, and homemade giardiniera. For our first course, we chose homemade tagliatelle with leeks, radicchio, and asparagus, and tortelli filled with ricotta and spinach, dressed with butter and sage (you can also serve them with a porcini mushroom sauce). All delicious. We finished with sbrisolona with zabaglione cream. Unfortunately, we weren't able to enjoy the main courses... we'll definitely try them next time. Really excellent value. A very well-maintained trattoria. The place is very cute. The menu is excellent.

A homey trattoria in a small hamlet surrounded by fields, where you can enjoy excellent traditional Piacenza dishes. Fresh and delicious cured meats, Gorgonzola 🔝, roasted quail, and duck. The staff and owner are very friendly.
