Excellent cuisine with authentic flavors. The vegetable pesto lasagna is a surprising change from the traditional meat-based lasagna I'm already familiar with. The tiramisu is delicious. I highly recommend it to friends or visitors to the St. Peter's area for the quality of the food and the kindness and hospitality of the staff.

Update (1 May): tried a pasta created by the owner called St Francis's pasta. The sauce is a hybrid of tomato and cream based. It's not as rich as a full cheese/cream pasta, but also retains the freshness of the tomato based one. I find it to be a good compromise and balance. After learning that the owner travels a lot internationally, maybe that's why the dishes here are more balanced. The last 2 days (since my last visit here) I've tried other dishes from more 'authentic' places and they have always ended up extremely salty. Maybe that's just the palette in Rome. But I enjoy the balance here - not salty but also, really retains the freshness of that natural ingredients and produce that Italy is known for. Last post: This would be the best classic pasta dish I've had this trip (and would be a strong contender internationally). I ordered tagliatelle with a bolognese sauce. The tagliatelle is done technically well. I like the thickness of it - it gives it a good chew. And it is cooked to a perfect doneness. 9.5/10 for the noodles. The sauce is fresh too. There is a bit of an acidity to it. 7.5/10. Overall, for the price, the value is amazing, and the quality of good is wonderful. Next I ordered the tiramisu. It's touted as a home style one. It has a layer of lady's fingers with a thick layer of cream. Roughly 1:1 ratio. Personally, I wished it had a stronger coffee taste to it. Overall, I feel it's a good one (definitely wayyyyy better than POMPI which I binned).

Lovely and brilliant food best thing i had all holiday it was so delicious. The service was excellent they were polite and really friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone.

A best kept secret if it is a secret. Wish we would have found it sooner. Best Carbonara, best Amatriciano, Lamb, Chicken Roman style, Artichoke. Nothing but satisfaction. A must visit if you are anywhere near the Vatican!
