On Friday, May 22nd, we dined at Vascello for the Piedmontese-style Fritto misto themed dinner. The fried food was excellent and plentiful, preceded by Russian salad and raw meat. Sparkling water accompanied the entire meal, compliments from the Barbieri family.

We began our trip by visiting beautiful Cuneo. We then stayed in Carrù at the Palazzo di Mezzo three-star hotel, a wonderful place. In the evening, we dined at the Vascello d'Oro restaurant, a typical Piedmontese restaurant, truly exceptional and worth a visit both for the food and the hospitality. The chef is top-notch. It's worth noting that it has a Michelin star.

28/07/2026: They brought us lots of breadsticks for the children and to ease the wait, although they served us very quickly.
17/07/2026: We went there for lunch. The concept is a menu at fixed price with antipasti, a choice of a couple of primo, a choice of a couple of secondi, and a couple of dolce as well. Water, house wine, and coffee is included in the surprisingly low price. Well worth a stop.

18/02/2026: I had a very nice memory of the place, with an excellent welcome and starred food but the lunch I had yesterday put my opinion into doubt.... we were welcomed very well, they gave us a beautiful table but as the service went on we noticed that being close to the door of the cellar of wines, waters and everything else, opened many times by the waiters (some leave it wide open) and receiving all the cold ones directly on our table... furthermore at the table behind ours there was a gentleman who for the duration of our lunch spoke on speakerphone with a high tone of voice (who we later learned was the owner)... I remembered a place with high professionalism... it must have been the wrong day but I expected something better than what we found 😩
