In the square of Sant’Andrea, a peripheral district but still a short distance from the center of Gorizia, there is one of the traditional trattorias that offers typical and traditional foods. The portions are abundant and the cuisine is varied and very tasty. There is no search for an apparently high-quality presentation and portions of a few bites but attention is paid to the substance and quality The fried chicken is a spectacular workhorse but the soups, gnocchi and grilled meats are no less Good local wines and the house wine is also good. Draft and bottled beer Good desserts, always from the local tradition At midday, a fixed-price lunch for workers, also of good quality In summer you can eat in the garden in the shade A place to visit!

Unparalleled quality/price ratio in Friuli

On the way towards Gorizia, we decide to take a look at the various restaurants on the street to have lunch. This restaurant inspired us and we booked. We arrived and the place was packed, both inside and out. They ordered us very quickly and the dishes arrived in no time. 2 first courses: spatzle and slikrofi, both out of this world. Then a lubjianska divided into 2 and a couple of side dishes; another pleasure. We concluded with a boiled hazelnut struccolo for dessert. The staff was very kind and helpful; despite the overcrowding of the place and was able to advise us, given that we are not from those parts. We spent just over 50 euros for all this; I'd say they were more than honest.

It was recommended to me by friends. Excellent everything to return. 👍👍👍

A cena con la mia migliore amica a festeggiare il suo compleanno. Erano anni che non venivo in questa trattoria, tipica e casalinga. Ho preso il bollito, che gola che avevo, buono, e poi il gnocco di susine e, siccome era giornata di festa per loro, 40 anni di lavoro assieme (locale stra pieno infatti di lunedi) ma era anche san Martino, ci hanno offerto le castagne, e una bottiglia di vino in omaggio. 2 grappe e via!
