If a restaurant captures the image of the region, Terra Madre is that image. A vegetable garden inside the restaurant is a clear demonstration of the use of fresh, simple ingredients to prepare traditional dishes and delightful variations. There's no point in exaggerating. Simplicity always wins, and at Terra Madre they know it. Well done!

Not suitable for families with children. The idea is great, as is the location. The mandatory two-course menu offer, a little less so. We came in without a reservation, two of us with a 5-year-old child, and asked for information. We were told they were making an exception for the child, and he could eat from our menu. I asked if the €35 menu included a first course, and they said yes. We sat down, and the first courses arrived (all made with locally sourced vegetables). The quality was excellent, as were the pairings. After a while, I asked, as agreed, to let the child eat. The second set of seven courses arrived, but still nothing from the first course. I asked the waiter, and the first course arrived. When we got the bill, the surprise was double. We ordered two €35 menus, two still ones and a coffee, for a total of €100 (maybe we paid for the first course? That's fair, but wasn't the tasting menu?). Honestly, I don't understand how they did the math (receipt boo) but I understand that it's not a place for families.

A great flavor experience with vegetables grown in the restaurant's garden, everything delicious and the service was excellent. I would enjoy the entire menu again.

I went for dinner and it's a magical place, nestled in their garden. The atmosphere is wonderful. The staff is incredibly kind. The vegetable dishes are amazing; you could really taste how fresh and delicious they were. The next course was also delicious. The homemade cake was exceptional. A little pricey compared to Puglia, but worth a try. It's worth it.

It's not every day you find a place that doesn't just serve food, but tells a story. Trattoria Terra Madre in Alberobello is one of those places. A true ode to rural tradition, with a zero-mile philosophy evident in every single course. Our experience here was a true sensory journey, a journey through the region's most authentic flavors and culinary art. Our lunch began with an explosion of appetizers, each a small masterpiece of balance. It's impossible to forget the baked peppers, sweet and juicy, enhanced by a savory touch of bread, capers, and olives. The "cialledda" surprised with its freshness, with the unusual yet winning combination of barattiera, purslane, and caramelized onion. Next up was the green and yellow zucchini giardiniera, crispy and light, while the fried zucchini flowers, stuffed with caciocavallo cheese and potatoes, were an irresistible temptation. And what about the eggplant parmigiana with tomato, cheese, and a gazpacho foam, a modern twist on a classic dish? We also sampled some amazing eggplant rolls filled with cherry tomatoes and aged cheese, with a touch of dried capers that added a bold, savory flavor. The Senatore Cappelli wheat deserves a special mention, topped with yellow cherry tomatoes, green beans, and cacioricotta, a dish that celebrates the simplicity and quality of the ingredients. For our first course, we opted for whole-wheat strascinati, whose rustic flavor paired perfectly with fresh cherry tomatoes, a delicate basil glaze, and a sprinkling of cacioricotta. Simple and unforgettable. The second course, a zucchini millefeuille, was a real surprise. The tender, layered vegetables concealed a rich caciocavallo fondue and a hearty pork sausage. The mint glaze provided the finishing touch, an unexpected freshness that lightened and enhanced the dish. To conclude with a flourish, we tried the slow-cooked pork neck, a dish that melted in the mouth, demonstrating masterful cooking and attention to every detail. To truly conclude: a cake with cream and black cherry reminiscent of the pasticciotto leccese. For those who are vegetarians with a capital V, I highly recommend this place.

Tasting of typical Apulian dishes with delicious local products. Friendly staff and fast service. Excellent experience with seasonal vegetables, I recommend it to anyone visiting Alberobello.

I saw some bad reviews, but to us (my wife and I) this was the best meal we had in Italy. And we came to Italy a few times before. The food was amazing, it almost made me consider to become vegetarian (kidding of course). I definitely suggest the tasting menu. 7 dishes, every single one was a different culinary trip. We are considering to revisit the area just to eat here again. Wow!

Domenica a pranzo siamo stati a mangiare in questo unico ristorante di Alberobello. La peculiarità è quella di avere un orto al suo interno. Location e struttura del ristorante , VOTO 8 Antipasti di verdure 7, molto molto buoni tranne i sottaceti, VOTO 8 Strascinate integrali al sugo, VOTO 9 Polpette e braciole discrete , VOTO 7 Prezzi altini, VOTO 7 CONSIGLIATO

Trattoria molto curata, propongono un menù degustazione vegetariano da sette portate composto da piatti con prodotti dei loro orti. Piatti molto gustosi e ben presentati. Ho aggiunto un piatto di maiale cotto a bassa temperatura veramente notevole. Molto buono il vino. Servizio gentile e simpatico
