Trattoria Terra Madre In Alberobello

We were recommended to visit Terre Madre and it did not disappoint. The service was outstanding, atmosphere - relaxing and the ingredients were super fresh. They have a herb/vegetable garden which guests have a full view of. In terms of flavour, there were a couple of hits and misses. Overall though it was a very memorable meal. Vegetarian friendly as most of their dishes are pure veggies only. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Exceptional what can be done with just vegetables!

Two weeks later, I'm still thinking about my meal here. To get through jetlag while in Italy, I would lay in bed and think through each dish. The night before eating here, my wife and I had had a mediocre experience at a Michelin list restaurant. It's easy, especially while in Italy, for good food to become almost mundane. My dining experience at Terra Madre was exceptional! Each dish was simple yet wonderfully executed. If you like REALLY great food, make a reservation. If you just like sitting under an umbrella on a piazza and eating the same pasta dishes every night, go somewhere else.

We had lunch at Trattoria Terra Madre in Alberobello, and it completely surprised us in the best way. When we first arrived, I was feeling overheated and a bit worn out from all the rich meals on our trip. Although the restaurant looked just as charming and rustic as it did online, set in a quaint little garden. I honestly didn’t think I had it in me to eat a full meal. I told myself this would be the perfect moment to take a break and just enjoy a cold glass of wine. The menu is simple but unique, offering two options: 1. A 7-course vegetarian tasting 2. The same 7 courses plus a main dish from their small list of locally inspired mains I initially passed on the food, opting for a crisp local white wine that was absolutely phenomenal. Bright, dry, and refreshing-I’ll be seeking out that bottle again. But once my husband’s meal started arriving, I quickly realized I’d made a huge mistake. Everything looked (and smelled) incredible. I caved, asked to join in- and I’m so glad I did. What they manage to do with vegetables alone is pure magic. Each course was so thoughtful: perfectly balanced textures, bold and surprising flavors, and beautifully plated. I truly underestimated this place. We enjoyed an absolutely delicious dinner at Trattoria Terra Madre. Wonderful fresh vegetable dishes served family style and a very nice and varied selection of dinners (although the vegetables could also be a full dinner!). Nice wine selection as well.

Unforgettable experience! The garden, the menu, the staff, the atmosphere, everything is a strong 10/10 or more. The variety of vegetable dishes to taste is a true feast, prepare your taste buds!

Wonderful restaurant with lots of vegetables

Location e struttura del ristorante , VOTO 8 Antipasti di verdure 7, molto molto buoni tranne i sottaceti, VOTO 8 Strascinate integrali al sugo, VOTO 9 Polpette e braciole discrete , VOTO 7 Prezzi altini, VOTO 7 CONSIGLIATO

We spent a very pleasant evening in this trattoria in the center of Alberobello, dedicated to plant-based cuisine! Excellent quality food prepared with great care. The 7 vegetable samples were very welcome. Prices were quite high but proportionate to the quality and well spent. Simple but well-kept interiors, the open vegetable garden was very pleasant!

Trattoria molto curata, propongono un menù degustazione vegetariano da sette portate composto da piatti con prodotti dei loro orti. Piatti molto gustosi e ben presentati. Ho aggiunto un piatto di maiale cotto a bassa temperatura veramente notevole. Molto buono il vino. Servizio gentile e simpatico
