La Baracca In Polignano a mare

Wonderful and delicious food. I highly recommend it, large portions and, above all, delicious. It doesn't look inviting from the outside, but for me, the quality of the food and taste are more important than the appearance of the restaurant. I wanted to subtract one star, but I can't because the taste, the number of portions, and the excellent service from the waiter (a slim, charming man) exceeded that. Coming back to why I wanted to subtract one star... I'm not prejudiced, and I simply noticed that even though there weren't many people, the elderly woman (presumably the owner) clearly had a look on her face when the gentleman at the entrance agreed to let us in, as if she didn't want to serve us, giving the gentleman an angry grimace. This remains in my mind as a slight sour taste... I can't find anything else to complain about. I highly recommend it and would gladly visit this restaurant again.

From the outside, the Osteria looks a bit neglected...but inside, and especially on the large terrace, it's wonderful. We had pasta, which wasn't particularly good, but the restaurant specializes in meat, which is apparently really delicious; our carpaccio was very good. Skip the pasta. Definitely make a reservation on Saturdays. The restaurant is very popular!

It's been a while since I've been back, maybe ten times. It was much better before. The tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms seemed torn, or the leftover pasta from the package couldn't be rolled up on a fork. The sausage had a strange taste, so it was left on the plate. The fries were boiled. They forgot to include our table in the arrival shift, so we were counted after two tables that had formed later. On a positive note, the waiter Giovanni and the mutton skewers.

Always a guarantee! I always love coming back, everything is exceptional, from the appetizers to the first and second courses! Great atmosphere, large spaces, and the staff are always very helpful.

Excellent appetizers and first courses; the restaurant offers everything. It appears to specialize in meat, but it's definitely not the house specialty. The sausage is good, but the "premium" meats are less so, being rubbery and overly expensive. Excellent service and a beautiful location. Avoiding the "complex" meats, as there are plenty of options (from pizza to first courses and a thousand appetizers), it could be a good choice!

I come here every year and always find it second to none. Congratulations to Mr. Vito and his brother and to the entire team.

Traditional cuisine at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, but the meat is so good that you forget any shortcomings. They serve until late; we arrived at 10 pm and at 11:30 pm there was still meat on the grill. Highly recommended.

This restaurant was a great find on our trip; the food was tasty and well-served, including the meat options which, compared to other restaurants we ate at in Italy, were not only very tasty but also offered excellent value for money. We went more than once, always ordering some kind of pasta as a first course each and a meat platter as a second course for the two of us.

Highly recommended, excellent quality food. The staff is friendly and helpful. For cat lovers, there are some very sociable Siamese cats.
