We visit Volta Mantovana once a year to attend the IL VOLTA event, and unfortunately, only this year (2026) did we make this pleasant discovery. Trattoria Stangada is a welcoming place, tastefully decorated in true trattoria style, with great taste and elegance. It also has a lovely outdoor terrace, sheltered from traffic and noise.
We returned for a second dinner because we were so thrilled with the first experience. The quality of the ingredients is excellent, from the starters to the main courses. The selection of drinks is also remarkable, with an excellent selection of craft beers and quality wines. The service and welcome were impeccable. Top marks!... We'll be back every year!

Pleasant place. Very friendly and helpful staff. Well-prepared and delicious dishes. Local wine list is perhaps a bit limited, but adequate. Definitely recommended.

Excellent Easter Monday lunch. Excellent food: for starters, we ordered pumpkin tortelli with sausage and capunsei with butter and sage, both excellent. For our main course, we shared a grilled meat dish with two sides: everything was excellent and the portions generous. For dessert, we had a slice of torta helvezia, a typical local cake with buttercream and zabaglione: it was also delicious. In addition to the excellent food, the staff was kind and attentive, and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, like eating at home. If I ever come back to Volta Mantovana, I'll definitely be back.
