May 1st lunch for 10 people. The owner, kind and very accommodating, with courtesy towards the most demanding customers, offered us a round of cured meats/cheese appetizers with erbazzone and fried gnocco: excellent. Then we had 8 first courses, including tagliatelle and homemade ravioli: overall good, and 2 second courses of wild boar with polenta: decent.
Drinks: 1L of red and 1/2L of white, 4L of water, and 8 coffees.
Fast service and great staff (great Gianca!)
We spent 26 euros each!!
Overall, a great experience with an unexpected finishing touch: he offered us limoncello. 😍 Chapeau!

A slightly old-fashioned restaurant, but with remarkable quality and a very kind, knowledgeable, and very friendly owner.
We had their special with gnocco and cold cuts and two half portions of sublime ravioli and tagliatelle with prosciutto sauce. Everything was really good.
Highly recommended.

Authentic Reggio Emilia cuisine, excellent fresh pasta in a family-friendly atmosphere that feels like it's stuck in time. We really enjoyed it, and it'll become our go-to place in the area.

We ordered: a kizze appetizer with garden herbs, three first courses: tagliatelle with speck, passatelli, and tortellini with chard. Everything was delicious, fresh, and homemade.
The atmosphere is very quiet, without the loud music.
Highly recommended, I'll be back.

Cappelletti in brodo: a masterpiece
The owners are kind and friendly. The restaurant is simple and welcoming. The prices are fair, considering the food is excellent.

A typical trattoria with simple local cuisine!
A trattoria with a vaulted ceiling in a historic building, and friendly service from the owners... however, the food is rather basic... the affetato and gnocco fritto, served with sticky pasta, aren't exactly highlights... perhaps the kitchen has more to offer another day...

A lovely trattoria right in the city center, near the theaters, next to the Ariosto Theater and 300 meters from the Romolo Valli Theater. Excellent Emilian cuisine. We tried excellent gnocco fritto, cappelletti in brodo (very good), braised beef, well-made baked potatoes, and a fantastic zuppa inglese. Local wines (but I believe they also have a wine list). €50 per person, well spent.

The family atmosphere makes you feel like you're sitting at your aunt's or grandmother's house. The owners are very kind and friendly. The cappelletti in brodo and the cappello del prete (priest's hat) are particularly good. Four stars instead of five for the food because my braised beef was a bit dry. Four stars for the atmosphere because we were seated in the room near the entrance and there was a chilly breeze every now and then. I should point out that it was January and it was -2 degrees outside.
