Attentive and friendly host, excellent food, classic decor, very nice. I take home a very good memory!

Sipario, theater restaurant, Reggio, historic center. Right next to the Ariosto theatre, where the theater café once stood, Adriano has been there since 2008 with his wife and her team. Even the historic center needs attention, and here it finally abounds. Relaxing atmosphere, believe me nowadays it's no small thing, it's family run, you feel pampered and looked after, without being oppressed. Classic appetizers with excellent fried gnocco, with a selection of cured meats, fried chizze with beets and flavors from the garden, fragrant rustic Reggio Emilia herbazzone. Great Emilian first courses both dry and in broth, there is also the legendary pasta and beans. Then the tripe alla reggiana, the wild boar with polenta or braised meat catches the eye. The caciotta in Lambrusco pomace is interesting, followed by the always excellent homemade desserts. When I left, I thought, looking at the beauty of the two theaters in the same square, that supporting Reggio is very important for everyone, people from Reggio and others.

Absolutely perfect and delicious, purely traditional without any so-called innovative interpretations, such as adding icing all over for fancy sake… Almost all Italian trattorias should be like this!

We celebrated my son's confirmation. Everything was perfect. The dishes were good and very plentiful. The gnoccho and the special bacon. DJ made an encore lasagna for the birthday boy. The service was perfect.

Aperti anche durante il periodo estivo, ambiente tranquillo e personale molto cortese. Menù non particolarmente ampio, ma c'é grande qualità in quello che fanno. Menzione d'onore per i dolci!
