Restaurant on the theater square. The lady who served us was very kind and explained the typical dishes to us. I opted for Erbazzone with raw ham on the side and cappelletti in broth (both excellent). I also really liked the trifle. The location is well-kept with several seating tables. Account in line with the proposal.

Trattoria in pieno centro, addirittura nello stesso stabile del Teatro Ariosto. Arredi ed atmosfera un po' datati. Propone piatti della tradizione emiliana. Cibo buono. Prezzi onesti.

Sipario, theater restaurant, Reggio, historic center. Right next to the Ariosto theatre, where the theater café once stood, Adriano has been there since 2008 with his wife and her team. Even the historic center needs attention, and here it finally abounds. Relaxing atmosphere, believe me nowadays it's no small thing, it's family run, you feel pampered and looked after, without being oppressed. Classic appetizers with excellent fried gnocco, with a selection of cured meats, fried chizze with beets and flavors from the garden, fragrant rustic Reggio Emilia herbazzone. Great Emilian first courses both dry and in broth, there is also the legendary pasta and beans. Then the tripe alla reggiana, the wild boar with polenta or braised meat catches the eye. The caciotta in Lambrusco pomace is interesting, followed by the always excellent homemade desserts. When I left, I thought, looking at the beauty of the two theaters in the same square, that supporting Reggio is very important for everyone, people from Reggio and others.
