We had dinner at this restaurant on the recommendation of the owner of the farmhouse where we were staying. The San Giuseppe restaurant is located in Castel d'Ario Mantua. The large and welcoming, well-furnished restaurant is renowned for its risottos. The menu offers a variety of traditional dishes, made with genuine homemade products. We ordered the pilot risotto with puntel (ribs) and the boiled meat, a symposium of flavours. To finish, the sbrisolona accompanied with zabaglione and grapes under grappa. The staff is friendly and attentive to satisfy all customer requests/needs. The price is adequate for the quality and preparation of the dishes. Advised.

The restaurant serves traditional dishes from Mantua and also from Verona. We only had lunch here once and it is therefore impossible to express a complete opinion. However we ate well, even if the boiled and roasted meats could be improved a little. The roast was immersed in broth and perhaps that's not the right thing. The chicken which should be part of the boiled meats was also missing. Good desserts. The service was very courteous. We will be back to try their risottos.

If you are a risotto lover, this place in Castel d'Ario is a must. The environment is familiar and welcoming, perfect for enjoying dishes prepared with great attention. The menu offers particular risottos, with original combinations and plating with attention to the smallest details. Each dish is a perfect balance of flavors, prepared with quality ingredients. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, always ready to recommend the best pairing and tell the story behind each dish. An experience to repeat!

Bigoli with sardines and risotto with salteri and pessin are good! Desserts generally good
A Crazy Bigolata!!
We were in this restaurant during the Castel D'Ario celebration, despite the crowds the service was fast and perfect
We opted for an encore of first courses, Risotto alla pilota and Bigoli with sardines, and both dishes were stratospheric!! We will definitely return to try their à la carte menu
