Trattoria San Giacomo In Bellagio

We tried the pasta, each one excellent. The local white wine is also highly recommended.

We found this place by chance and loved it. We had two types of pasta to share, Raúl's and the pasta of the day. They were very good. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was great. I definitely recommend it.

We stumbled on this place in Bellagio for lunch and realized shortly thereafter that it’s pretty high in demand and they don’t take reservations. I think we were an exception to most people having to wait a long time, as we sat after about 10 minutes. It was the best food we ate in northern Italy during our 8 day stay. The ravioli were excellent and the pasta special was also fantastic. We were recommended to order the tiramisu by someone who was finishing their meal and it absolutely did not disappoint.

Service and atmosphere were great here Food was nice, we had a tasty meal - a lot of people said this was the best food in Bellagio but we didn't think it was anything special We luckily managed to get a table in the first sitting, but some people queued gor 2 hours. Whilst the food was nice, it isnt worth queuing hours for They open at 7pm with noreservations You need to queue from 6/6.30pm to get a table

Everything was exceptional. I really like the dishes. There was a lot of types of wine to choose. The customer service was great.

Good food and value for money. We did have to wait 45 minutes for our first drink. The staff only looked straight ahead, didn't pay attention to the guests, and only carried a fat wallet.

We went to this restaurant on a Sunday in early September. We liked the place—small but cute—so we went in. Unfortunately, the only free table was near the bathroom, and that's the only downside. We opted for two burgers, beer, water, and coffee. Everything was delicious, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend it, but if you can, avoid that table.

We arrived early to secure a spot at this popular trattoria, joining several other diners already waiting on the restaurant’s steps (complete with thoughtfully provided cushions). Many guests, ourselves included, grabbed wine from across the street to enjoy while waiting, a pleasant way to pass the time. The wait proved absolutely worthwhile. We were lucky enough to snag an outdoor table beside the charming stone steps on a perfect evening. The couple seated next to us had dined here the previous night and returned immediately, a telling endorsement we soon understood. The osso buco was exceptional: incredibly tender and flavorful. Even my wife, who typically avoids veal, thoroughly enjoyed it. The fettuccine with meat sauce was equally impressive, with both pasta and sauce clearly made fresh in-house. Our service throughout the evening was outstanding. Arrive early, as this restaurant fills up incredibly fast. They operate limited evening hours and we watched them turn away disappointed diners later in the night. If you don’t make it into the first seating, expect at least an hour-long wait. However, the exceptional food and atmosphere make any wait worthwhile, we would have absolutely returned if we’d had another evening in Bellagio. This is destination dining that justifies the crowds and the wait time.

Scelta questa trattoria xchè visto le recensioni su TripAdvisor, ci è piaciuta molto piccolina nulla di eclatante ma carina siamo stati dentro xchè fuori c'era un po' d' aria, preso un hamburger della casa che è piaciuto tantissimo e io ho preso una tagliata che da menù reputavo un po' cara 26 euro ma li è valsi tutti anche xchè accompagnata da verdure di stagione spadellate tantissime che erano strabuone, la pasta è fatta da loro ma non abbiamo assaggiato dall' aspetto degli altri tavoli sembrava molto buona, lo consiglio.
