Trattoria San Gennaro In Praiano

I went there at the beginning of the year, it was the only one in the area open and eager to work, you can see that they are humble, down-to-earth people, a family-run place with a beautiful view and excellent food at reasonable prices, definitely recommended.

No better Italian experience than here! Family owned and run by the most welcoming people! We loved our food, the lasagna was homemade and the best we've ever had. Beautiful views of an old church and the Amalfi Coast. I wish I could eat there every meal!

Congratulations to all the staff...for the authentic and obviously traditional food. Transparent prices, beautiful terrace overlooking the sea, and honest in preserving their belonging to a wonderful land without turning it into a business, a very serious characteristic that does not encourage tourists to return. But we will gladly return to San Gennaro.

A good place, especially for the terrace and its incredible views. The food was good and the service was adequate, nothing more.

We stayed in Praiano in low season so we were the only ones at the restaurant. Food and service was great. It was like you were eating in someone's living room! They also have a patio with a great view, it was just raining and dark when we were there.

Alright, so I stroll up to this little spot perched above the Amalfi Coast—view looks like it was painted by Michelangelo’s cousin who was really into carbs. You can smell the pizza before you see it. That’s always a good sign. They bring it out—thin crust, perfectly blistered, looks like it spent just the right amount of time in the oven. Not too doughy, not too cracker-y. I take the first bite—boom. Immediate flavor punch. The sauce has that fresh, slightly sweet San Marzano thing going on. Cheese ratio? Money. Crust has the right amount of char. You know when you hit that perfect chew? Yeah, it’s that. No floppy nonsense, no soggy middle. Just a proper Neapolitan-style pie executed by someone who clearly knows what they’re doing. I’m sitting here overlooking the Mediterranean eating one of the best pizzas I’ve had in Italy, and I’ve eaten a lot of pizza. Score? We’re talking strong numbers. I’m giving it a 9.1—elite pie, certified Amalfi Coast heater. One bite, everybody knows the rules.

While staying at Pepe's, I visited a family-run restaurant. They even provided free car pickup from the hotel, and the family was so warm and welcoming. 🥹 I had the arabiata and the traditional Amalfi seafood pasta with thick noodles. It was delicious and the portions were huge!! The price was reasonable, but the portions were generous. The seafood pasta sauce was especially delicious. The noodles had a texture and flavor I'd never experienced before, so it was a new experience~ They gave me a welcome drink as soon as I arrived, and after the meal, they gave me a small cup of tiramisu, chocolate cream, and a limoncello shot for dessert. 😭😭 I was so happy to have finished a perfect meal!! The night view from the outdoor terrace was especially beautiful. I wanted to visit again on my last day, but it was too late, so I couldn't. I'll definitely visit again next time I'm in Italy!! 🩵
