Trattoria San Domenico, located in a splendid period structure right in front of the Aragonese castle, is a place where local cuisine meets the quality and attention to the seasonality of the catch. We enjoyed delicious fish dishes: a very tender and tasty seared octopus, a pasta with scampi and clams and a seafood pasta, each prepared with fresh, top quality ingredients. The Ortonese broth, a house specialty, is a true homage to local tradition, and for those who still have an appetite, the leftover sauce is transformed into an unmissable second course of pasta. The service was prompt and attentive, which we particularly appreciated as we were tired from the family trip and wanted to have an early dinner. In a few minutes we were already at the table, ready to taste the authentic flavors of seafood cuisine. The quality/price ratio is excellent, which makes Trattoria San Domenico a truly valid option for those looking for genuine dishes in an atmospheric context. Recommended to anyone passing through Ortona!

The food was just enough. The poor service. I don't know about the venue, we went in person to book and they told us that there was only room on the veranda, only to then insist that the choice to go on the veranda was ours...

My family and my wife's sister's family went to lunch today. We all enjoyed the seafood food bar none. Courtesy and professionalism from the owners. We transformed a rainy day into a very pleasant one for the palate.

I had the opportunity to have lunch in this place while passing through Ortona with a friend and we were remarkably satisfied. I took the tasting menu with three cold starters, three hot starters and one spaghetti with clams. What can I say, everything was really excellent! Impeccable service and courtesy. We will definitely return if we return to Ortona. The location is also excellent, allowing you to visit the castle within walking distance and admire the wonderful view of the sea. Thanks for a great lunch.

Locale interno carino, con disponibilità di tavoli in esterno, personale gentilissimo, tavoli ben apparecchiati, purtroppo il cibo servito secondo me, non è rapportato al locale. Cibo non pessimo ma neanche eccellente.

Cena top! Grazie alla cameriera che ci ha fatti sedere alle 22.30!! Cucina ottima, escluso gli antipasti erano sconditi e ridotti. Per il resto tra primi e secondi ottimi. Camerieri svelti e attenti. Sorriso caratteristico.
