Excellent Sunday lunch, special mention for the octopus starter and the pasta with swordfish sauce, the roast is also excellent, the portion is enough for two people, to finish with an excellent coffee and homemade sweets 🔝🔝

Restaurant right in front of the magnificent castle. Good food but simple and not particularly refined. Efficient service. Very nice environment, both inside (elegant rustic structure) and outside.

Excellent place, shame that due to the bad weather we couldn't visit the surroundings, which must have been beautiful....

Trattoria San Domenico, located in a splendid period structure right in front of the Aragonese castle, is a place where local cuisine meets the quality and attention to the seasonality of the catch. The menu, although limited in choice, is perfect for those who appreciate simplicity and quality. We enjoyed delicious fish dishes: a very tender and tasty seared octopus, a pasta with scampi and clams and a seafood pasta, each prepared with fresh, top quality ingredients. The Ortonese broth, a house specialty, is a true homage to local tradition, and for those who still have an appetite, the leftover sauce is transformed into an unmissable second course of pasta. The service was prompt and attentive, which we particularly appreciated as we were tired from the family trip and wanted to have an early dinner. In a few minutes we were already at the table, ready to taste the authentic flavors of seafood cuisine. The quality/price ratio is excellent, which makes Trattoria San Domenico a truly valid option for those looking for genuine dishes in an atmospheric context. Recommended to anyone passing through Ortona!

Location fantastica davanti al Castello Aragonese e con vista mare pazzesca,cibo di altissimo livello e pesce freschissimo,personale gentile e accogliente. CONSIGLIATO

The food was just enough. The poor service. I don't know about the venue, we went in person to book and they told us that there was only room on the veranda, only to then insist that the choice to go on the veranda was ours...

My family and my wife's sister's family went to lunch today. We all enjoyed the seafood food bar none. Courtesy and professionalism from the owners. We transformed a rainy day into a very pleasant one for the palate.

Posizionato in un punto invidiabile con un bel dehor di fronte al Castello Aragonese, questo ristorante ci ha fatto godere un'ottima cena di pesce. Ho mangiato forse il miglior crudo di pesce della mia vita, varietà e gusto di ognuna assolutamente eccezionali. I primi poi, una delizia: sia i paccheri allo scoglio che la mia chitarrina ai frutti di mare, da applausi. Molto buono il vino al calice, sia Cerasuolo che Passerina. Servizio ok, molto buono anche il pane e la focaccia. Concluso il tutto con i dolcetti tipici abruzzesi (questi senza infamia e senza lode) ed un amaro gentilmente offerto dalla titolare. Assolutamente consigliato!
