Too bad you can't give it a 10! I booked almost by chance, searching on Google (I recommend booking). Two of us arrived with our dog, and we were greeted by an explosive waitress (in a very positive sense), and we sat down with a view of the sea and the castle. Extraordinary. The explosive lady recommended the brodetto and a seafood trio... we followed her advice and... THANK GOD! A spectacular brodetto (it makes me cry just remembering it), truly heavenly, as we say in Naples. The seafood trio was also very good, and the octopus was perfect. If you want pasta in the brodetto, they'll add it to your sauce, but being pigs, we preferred to mop up the sauce and not part with that infinite delight. We also ordered the burrata ravioli with scampi sauce. Very good. And the desserts too... What a spectacular meal we had on January 1st. We started the year off right. Thank you! We'll definitely be back. Even on purpose!

The fish is always fresh and cooked with great respect for tradition: simple yet flavorful dishes that showcase the quality of the ingredients. The seafood appetizers are excellent, as are the perfectly cooked first and second courses. The service is friendly and attentive, with staff always available to recommend the dish of the day or the best wine pairing. The quality-price ratio is truly fair. A restaurant you'll gladly return to, ideal for both dinner and lunch with friends. Highly recommended!

Excellent in every way: location opposite the Aragonese Castle, fresh fish, super kind and professional service from Barbara, super friendly owner who also communicates with customers. I recommend it to anyone looking for quality and refinement, discovered by chance and now I'm a regular.

We stumbled across this restaurant and what a find! All of us really enjoyed the food and it is a fish-lovers delight. One of our group is wheat intolerant and they were so helpful with choosing the dishes. Loved the brodetto and spaghetti that used the sauce afterwards. The pastry made to a secret recipe by their uncle were delicious and the limoncello, cafe crema and lemon sorbet completed a truly memorable meal.

Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. I had a very generous and delicious first course with clams. The dessert selection was varied; I opted for the coffee cream, which was very satisfying.

Trattoria San Domenico is located opposite Ortona's Aragonese Castle, and this alone makes it a must-visit for anyone like me who finds themselves hungry at lunchtime in that part of town. I ate lunch in the outdoor area, which is aesthetically simple but still welcoming. I ordered linguine with mussels, but I got clams instead, but that was fine; I received a generous, delicious dish. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the prices were fair, especially considering the view of the castle.
