This is a traditional local restaurant which provides excellent food at an incredible value. The locals show up at 1PM for lunch but even though they officially open at 12:15 they were more than happy to serve us when we arrived at noon. My wild boar was delicious and my wife's tagliatelle with pecorino and black pepper was great! The service was great, I highly recommend visiting.

Spontaneous passage during a short stop in this lovely town. Followed a sign to this trattoria, totally not dissapointed. A real trattoria, oldschool style. Service with a smile, food tasted excellent, price was very decent. English menu available, some English spoken. These are the places you hope to discover spontaneously!

The food is as good as it used to be, a place from the old days, very fair prices and below average for any restaurant, and the staff is extremely kind. I will definitely be back. P.S. Go there and you won't regret it.

Locanda Fontezoppa Restaurant

02/06/2026: I visited this winery during the Open Cellars event. It was a wonderful discovery, and I'll definitely be back. The wines are very good, and the location is stunning. They also offer food. The gentleman who guided us through the winery was very knowledgeable and friendly. It's worth a visit if you're in the area.
13/05/2026: Twe caveats to begin with: - I came here w few years ago - It might appear as pretentious The reason I need to preface this review is becase some people might have the worng impression of this place. It is not your typical restaurant but more a signature project where the creator expresses himself more than anything else. With this in mind I daresay the food was amazing. Both for me, a tourist from a colder place with a lucklustre cuisine as well as for a local, my friend, avid foodie yet on the reasonable side. I would definitely recommed this place for you to experiance local and exquisite cuisine which is not too common in this region yet does not feel out of place. You can clearly feel how deeply rooted in the local community the Head Chef is. And he won Masterchef Italia as well ;-) Oh, and they have a wine shop as well!!
