It was a wonderful discovery.
A very nice place (we had lunch inside).
The owner was very friendly and gave us advice on the dishes, and thankfully we followed his advice, so we had a delicious lunch.
Thanks to all the staff.
A place not to be underestimated because it has very good cuisine.

We went on the recommendation of a friend from Puglia, but we didn't think it would be this good! They welcomed us warmly and served us a wonderful dinner! We tried a mixed appetizer, tubettini pasta with scorpion fish, seared tuna, and finally granita and gelato. We'll definitely be back.

We researched Ristorante Portolano online in advance – and were pleasantly surprised in every way. Our expectations were not only met, but exceeded!
The food was simply fantastic – fresh, aromatic, and perfectly prepared. Every course was a delight, especially the fish dishes, where you immediately taste the proximity to the harbor and the quality of the ingredients.
A big compliment to the service: super friendly, attentive, and at the same time pleasantly unobtrusive. We were particularly impressed by the chef personally coming to our table several times to check if everything was okay. This shows genuine hospitality and passion for good food.
The ambiance is charmingly maritime and fits wonderfully with the authentic cuisine – you feel welcome from the very first moment.
Conclusion: If you want to experience fresh fish and high-quality Apulian cuisine in Gallipoli, Portolano is the place for you. We will definitely be back!
