Had a delicious lunch. Tasty fish and pasta.

A very nice restaurant in the heart of Monopoli, open on a Wednesday (many restaurants are closed at lunchtime on Wednesdays). The waiter was lovely. We ate very well and the price was very reasonable.

Excellent place so we dined there twice within a week. The baked sea bream (orata fish) was so expertly cooked and served, having chosen it ourselves from the chiller display. The best ever baked fish. The staff were knowledgeable about the wines. The desserts were simply delicious. Don't worry about putting on weight here, it's worth it!!!!

The picture says it all. 7000 miles away from home & I ended up at a wine bar meeting a man named Pietro who grew up in Monopoli for 68 years. His father was a local fisherman and when Pietro was a young boy he would fish with his dad on the ocean and after a long day get off of the boat and come to this restaurant with his dad. While having a glass of wine with my family Pietro sat next to us and was so friendly, so we asked? Where would you go to eat 🧐 Pietro said Trattoria Pizzeria Da Zi Ottavio … so I said what would you eat? Pietro said “Tiella Barese” !! So I made it a point to go the following night and WOW. Brings me to a place of getting off of the water from fishing all day and eating a meal that make me so happy. I highly recommend this dish . Thank you to the restaurant staff for the great wine , service and most of all the food . 5 star

Excellent lunch at this quiet restaurant, a little removed from the hustle and bustle of the old town's narrow streets. A very warm welcome and a delicious meal, including pasta with scorpionfish prepared in the Apulian style. I highly recommend it.

Nice place, and overall good food. Small portions. Not the best value for money.

Excellent food, exceptional orecchiette, and we were also very pleased with the gluten-free first course for my husband! The staff was courteous and professional! We highly recommend!

A beautifully decorated restaurant with two lovely wooden tables outside (in April) in a quiet alley, yet centrally located, and a very friendly hostess :) The food was excellent and reasonably priced! Highly recommended! We had a pizza and orchette with cime de rapa (vegetarian option available upon request).

Small, cozy restaurant. Attentive service. The food was very good, except for my wife's unfortunately dry fish. The billing for the fish dishes from the refrigerated display case, with the price per 100g and the weight charged, was incomprehensible to us, and the bottled beer was very expensive compared to other similar restaurants. In our opinion, the prices of the dishes listed on the menu are reasonable. Overall, therefore, only 3 stars.
