Incredible food prepared and served in a family environment. There weren't professional waiters but good, kind salt of the earth people who are proud of what they create and provide. We have eaten many excellent meals throughout Italy but what they create at Pepe Nero is some of the best food we have eaten. Such a pleasure to have experienced this local eatery that the next time I am close to Milan I am going to visit them again. I truly appreciate the service that they provide and I hope that they have much success and prosperity. Do not miss their desserts either, the pasta and Milanesa were incredible but the desserts were the jewel of the crown they provide to those fortunate enough to discover them.

Enchanting place with a home like feeling! Cozy atmosphere and the food is amazing. Service is great. We had the Pasta alla Norcina, mezzipaccheri cooked to perfection tossed in a sauce melding norcia sausage and truffles. It was delicate and exquisite. The Milanesa is the best we have had in the region. A veal chop breaded and fried to golden crispness. It was heavenly. We chose grilled vegetables mixed salad as sides, they did not disappoint. Dessert should not be missed. They make them all in house and they are excellent.

To the point: Fantastic culinary experience. The food is amazing, if you are lucky to get a table outside at the back the experience will be even better, and the staff makes you feel they want you to enjoy their great cuisine. Now, you will not stumble upon this place, it is a hidden gem, we were told to go there, and it is not easy to find...but it is really worth it. The place will make you understand how good food can make you happy

I don't know why this place is not rated higher. What a hidden gem!! Food was truly authentic, run by the nicest and cutest nonna. She didn't speak English and she kept trying to tell us that the water was included in the service but we didn't understand, so she grabbed her phone and translated it to us. The food was also amazing!! Prob some of the best food we had during our trip and by this time, we had gone to Florence, Tuscany, Cinque terre. We got the risotto with veal, carbonara and clam pasta. We weren't super hungry but we ate everything! House wine was also very good. The decorations inside were also super quaint and cute.
