Trattoria Osei In San bonifacio

To celebrate our twelfth anniversary, I chose Trattoria agli Osei, a restaurant near my house that, strangely, we'd never tried before. The decor is from a few years ago, but everything is well-kept and tidy, which conveys a certain familiarity and attention. I had booked a table for two, and from the reviews I'd noticed that the Amarone risotto is only prepared for a minimum of two people. Over the phone, I asked if it was possible to make it without the onion in the soffritto, and they confirmed that I could specify this directly when ordering. The menu concept was very nice: a small table is brought to you with a chalkboard listing all the daily specials. An original and rustic touch. For our second course, we ordered a mixed grill with a side of potatoes. The wait time was normal. The risotto arrived in a generous portion, enhanced by a generous amount of melted Monte Veronese cheese. The grill included a steak, pancetta, two ribs, and a sausage. Overall, the food was good but average. We weren't particularly impressed, but it was still a pleasant evening in a quiet atmosphere.

This restaurant offers a workers' menu and an à la carte option. We opted for the à la carte option, which included a first course, an excellent cod dish, water, a 1/4 cup of wine, and two coffees for €39. The restaurant is clean and the staff are courteous.

I went for a family lunch, and Mr. Stefano welcomed us with enthusiasm, attentiveness, and creativity, even accommodating special requests for those with swallowing difficulties. The Amarone risotto was delicious and perfectly cooked. The staff was kind, discreet, and attentive. A truly special place.

The place exudes history and a sense of life lived. The atmosphere is typical of old trattorias, the service is courteous and fast. The food tastes like home, and the bill is more than fair.

Typical home-style trattoria. Friendly and courteous waiters, every dish was delicious! Risotto with Amarone was perfectly cooked. I would have preferred less cheese, but the flavor was excellent! The steak was perfect, even the zucchini on the side were delicious! The sbrisolona was exceptional. My sister and her husband stop by often, and today they were with us. Understandable!

The prices are very reasonable, the dishes are always plentiful, and the food is excellent. I've never been disappointed. The staff is very friendly and fast. They also cater to large groups. Street parking is a little difficult to find, but it's worth it.

Trattoria curata e un po’ troppo “seriosa”, clima più da ristorante che da trattoria. Cucina semplice. Ottimi ingredienti. Consiglio mio (senza valore) : manca un pizzico di “personalità”: tipo qualche piatto particolare e unico o qualche modo operativo univoco… Ci tornerò di scuro: rapporto qualità-prezzo perfetto.
