A central trattoria discovered by chance, but it deserves a 4-star rating! Friendly staff and good food, with prices in line with those in central Catania.

Family of four. Had a lovely meal here yesterday. The chap that looked after us was friendly. Spoke English and really looked after us. The food was the best we have all week. We had Veal escalop and changed chips to salad. One of us had pasta. It was a hot day so he bought a fan out for us. Would definitely return and have recommended to our holiday rep.

I was looking for a quiet place in front of the hotel to have dinner after a day of work. And here I found a place where I will definitely return every time I go to Catania. The waiters are very kind, impeccable service and tranquility... thank you ☺️

Returning from our daily tourist tour, we decided to stop for dinner outside. Our choice fell on Trattoria Pizzeria Monte Sant'Agata, located in a small street of Via Etnea, in the heart of the historic center of Catania. Upon our arrival, around 9:00 pm, we were a little perplexed to see that we were the only customers present, both outside and inside the restaurant, where only one table was occupied — by the managers themselves. We were greeted by a waiter (perhaps also the owner) who was very kind, polite and open to conversation. However, in my opinion, his approach was far too sugary, bordering on excessive. The quality of the dishes is sufficient, but certainly improvable. In particular, the peppered mussels seemed not to have been prepared on the spot, but rather reheated: you could tell by the consistency of the mollusc. Of the two first courses ordered, one was supposed to be a risotto alla pescatora, but we were served a plate of spaghetti alla pescatora, probably to simplify the preparation with just one cooking. The description of the bill was also not clear: I would have liked to know the details of the individual items, such as the cost of water and the two glasses of wine. The prices seemed slightly high to me, and this, especially in a tourist-oriented city like Catania, can give a negative impression, risking damaging

Skvělá a milá obsluha, výborné jídlo, chutné a čerstvé. Dobrá restaurace pro rodiny s dětmi. Byli jsme mile překvapeni.

trattoria tipica catanese con un’atmosfera calda e accogliente. Cibo ottimo, sapori autentici e porzioni generose. Assolutamente consigliato per chi vuole gustare la vera cucina siciliana!
