Trattoria Miculan In Tricesimo

First of all… I have never received service like this anywhere in Udine. Truly the BEST ever. The waitress didn’t just serve us — she made us feel genuinely welcomed, cared for, and completely at home. She was funny, warm, attentive, and created such a beautiful atmosphere at the table that honestly, I would come back just for her alone. But then the food arrived… and OMFG. As a vegetarian, it’s honestly difficult to find places in this region that offer creative dishes instead of the usual repetitive combinations of the same 3 ingredients. This trattoria completely surprised us. We had the crespelle and the herb gnocchi with smoked scamorza sauce, and I genuinely cannot explain the explosion of flavor. Every bite felt balanced, rich, comforting, and refined at the same time. Even the presentation made us feel like we were dining in a Michelin-starred restaurant. Before the meal they served us a welcome herbal spread with homemade seeded crackers, and even that was incredible. The wine selection is also very good with reasonable pricing, the ambience is beautiful and cozy with the fireplace in the room, and the entire place is spotless and clearly cared for with love. And then dessert… wow. The peach and basil sorbet was absolute crack in the best possible way. Fresh, unique, addictive. And the 3 cakes… honestly speechless. Some of the best desserts we’ve had in a very long time. So grateful we found this place. We will 1000% be back.

Very nice little place in Tricesimo, I was here for work today and stopped for something to eat and I have to say the service was excellent, fast and friendly, the tagliolini al san daniele were truly special, and the desserts too, you can see the care taken in doing things as they should be. Highly recommended.

A creative variety of dishes, beautifully presented and very tasty, good value for money! A return visit is conceivable! However, the service could be improved in terms of advice and recommendations!

Fantastic Michelin-starred cuisine at normal restaurant prices. We had the fish menu and were absolutely thrilled. If you're in the area and hungry – this is the best place!

I'd always heard good things about this intimate and well-run place, until I tried it myself: expectations were met and even exceeded, truly phenomenal! PS: The lady serving the tables was incredibly friendly, bringing many smiles and a few true Friulian jokes!

I went to dinner this evening with my parents and my boyfriend and we had a great time. Highly recommended! The atmosphere is lovely and well-kept. Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent Merlot wine.

I finally managed to find a seat, and my expectations were not disappointed: the food was well-prepared and carefully prepared, and the menu was thoughtful. The service was prompt and attentive, and you could tell they care about their work. The warm atmosphere, warmed by the fireplace, and the detailed descriptions of the dishes were much appreciated. We ate divinely, from the appetizers to the selection of desserts and sorbet. Special praise goes to the tagliata, which melted like butter under the knife, accompanied by a spectacular sauce and, as mentioned in other reviews, the salt on the edge of the plate. The prices were absolutely reasonable; in fact, I expected them to be higher given that they are in the Michelin Guide. If I have the chance, I'll gladly return!

Always worth a stop on our way to Trieste, Udine, etc. The food is first-class and authentic, and the service is exceptionally friendly. My favorites are the pasta with San Daniele cheese and poppy seeds, and the stratagliata 🫠😋 Highly recommended.
