We arrived late on a Sunday without a reservation. The owner did her best to seat us, and we finally had a delicious, home-cooked meal—just what we were looking for. We'll definitely be back!

The restaurant operates on two shifts: 12:15/2:00 PM - 2:00 PM onwards. However, we were only informed of this when we called to confirm our reservation just beforehand!
Despite this, the food was truly exquisite. There were about ten of us. The gramigna with sausage was one of the best dishes I've eaten in Emilia (I'm from Veneto). The tortelloni and tortellini were delicious, the ossobuco was nothing special, and the suckling pig was delicious! The desserts were also good.
The only flaw was that we were in a rush to leave the table and didn't see the receipt with the various items listed, so we relied on the owner for the bill. We were told not to all pay by card (why? Who knows).
All in all, I would return for the food, but less so for the shift system.

I don't often leave reviews. But the kindness of the staff and owner last night, the authenticity and deliciousness of the dishes, the excellent quality/price ratio, the attention they gave us...deserve five stars and a few words. I'd already been there with a dear friend from Bologna. It will be a must-visit on my next visit to Bologna.

Excellent traditional dishes. It's also one of the few places open on Sunday evenings where you can enjoy delicious tortellini with thick, textured dough.

Very good food, we went after a concert at the theater next door. We ate well and were served fairly quickly even though we were quite busy. My son really enjoyed the pasta with meat sauce and the cured meats were very good! The price was reasonable!

Iconic location right under the Meloncello arch at the foot of San Luca, a place rich in history, very well-kept and with various spaces to share a moment of authentic Bolognese cuisine. The menu features all the dishes that the Bolognese have always eaten at home, tortellini, tortelloni, gnocchi, tagliatelle with ragù. I had my favorite dish, the gramigna with sausage ragù, simply perfect! For second courses, rabbit, suckling pig, roast pork and two dishes that are not always found, meatballs and stuffed courgettes stewed with potatoes and my favorite dish, the one that takes you to grandma's house on Sundays and makes you happy, the veal stew stewed with potatoes and peas. All the traditional desserts: rice cake, zuppa inglese, crème caramel, mascarpone dessert with melted chocolate. Excellent house Sangiovese wine! Impeccable service, the very kind staff were very well coordinated by the owner, who made us feel pampered and important. Excellent value for money. Get out of the center! Take a healthy stroll, photograph the splendid Arco del Meloncello, the majestic Torre di Maratona, and go to Trattoria del Meloncello. You won't regret it.
