Very good food, friendly service in a somewhat dated setting

A small restaurant in the center of Ravenna that's definitely worth a visit! The prices are excellent for the truly remarkable quality of the products. The smoked goose breast was exquisite, as were the pastries and desserts, all prepared with great care. There are only a few tables inside, so reservations are recommended as it fills up quickly. The atmosphere is rustic, just as the restaurant's name suggests, but very clean and welcoming. A great find!

A highlight of our stay in Ravenna, this is a very small restaurant for which you really need to make a reservation. The food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. The house wine is served in different amounts, I really love this. In Italy, you can get amazing wine for just a couple of Euros. Service was excellent with an owner that speaks many languages and helps you practice your Italian if you want.

We went to Trattoria La Rustica for lunch. The food was delicious, the service excellent. An unexpected bonus: they had a changing table in the bathroom, and they were super helpful in preparing a pasta dish off the menu for our one-year-old. We'll definitely be back if we ever pass through Ravenna again!

Pasta was perfect, service even better. We had a very nice meal here and would return. The stinco was not very tender though, wouldn't recommend it, so minus one star.

Little noise, excellent food, fair prices

The owner was very accommodating. We didn’t have any reservation and he managed to fit us in. Cappelleti with ragu tastes like homemade, comfort food. Best bread (copperto) we had in Italy - warm and fresh. Must try ice cream with cognac…for liquor lover🥰

Like good wine The more years pass, the better this place gets.

My boyfriend and I had dinner here yesterday while visiting the city, and it was a truly delightful evening. We shared an appetizer, two first courses, and a dessert…all delicious. The place is small but very cute, and the staff is super friendly. Highly recommended.

I'm so glad I made a reservation at this restaurant; every dish was delicious, and I had a wonderful time. I ordered four courses: Salumi Tradizionali con Squacquerone e Fichi Caramellati (€9.00): A traditional assorted cold cut of cured meats served with Squacquerone (a local specialty of fresh, soft cheese) and caramelized figs. Passatelli in Brodo (€11.00): Passatelli in broth (a traditional Romagna pasta dish made with breadcrumbs, cheese, and eggs). Tortelli di Zucca alla Mantovana con Burro e Salvia* (€13.00): Mantua-style pumpkin ravioli served with cream and sage. Coniglio alla Romagnola con Patate al Forno (€16.00): Romagna-style rabbit with roasted potatoes. The pumpkin ravioli here was even better than the ones I've had in Ferrara, and the rabbit was the best I've ever had. The price was reasonable, and the atmosphere was cozy.
