Top food and very friendly staff

Excellent Michelin restaurant! The service is at the highest level I've ever seen. The restaurant is relatively small with a warm and homely atmosphere. There is a team of three waiters who simply provide exceptional service to the diners. The dishes are simple, sophisticated and incredibly delicious. And the price is very affordable and fair. I really highly recommend the restaurant, a must visit if you are passing through Tuscany and Orvieto. It is very important to book in advance!

This restaurant is truly the best. It's been 10 years since our honeymoon, and I was so happy that my dream of taking my children there came true. The food was just as I remembered, the new carbonara was excellent, and personally, I loved the Umbrichelli as well. I'll definitely visit again soon. Reservations are essential. Have fun eating and drinking lots of wine. You'll definitely be happy.

I arrived at La Palomba at 2:00 PM on Saturday, without a reservation, with the slightly guilty look of someone expecting the classic "sorry...". But no. A very courteous welcome and an immediate table, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. And right then, you realize you've entered not a restaurant, but a place that makes you feel good. Then the dishes arrive, and here things get serious. The fillet alla Cardinale and the fillet with truffle are effortless. They're flavorful, centered, and with a texture that doesn't break, it surrenders. The sautéed chicory deserves its own line. It's bitter and appropriate, and reminds you that peasant cuisine, now a luxury, can be both rough and tender in the same forkful. Garlic is present, chili pepper is just the right amount (the kind that wakes you up without being aggressive), and an extra virgin olive oil that binds everything together without overdoing it. Simple stuff, yes. But simple, done well, which is the rarest thing. Even the water is a testament to the class. There's the "red" Nepi, which I almost never find around, and which, for those like me who drive full throttle, not just in the car, is number one. For wine, I chose a local wine, Feudi Spada – "Peppone" di Viceno. It was the perfect companion, without noise or vanity, but with body and character. The service was impeccable, and the courtesy exceeded expectations, attentive and quick, present without being intrusive. The atmosphere is warm, authentic. The two rooms are small and the tables are a bit close together, it's true, but in the end, it becomes part of the ritual. You feel like you're in a trattoria that works, that lives, and that does so with grace. Five stars. The end.

Fantastic restaurant. The owner is super friendly and helpful, as are the waiters. The dishes are truly delicious. We had the Umbrichelli al Tartufo and the Amatriciana, both delicious and generous with truffles. The bread and sausage appetizer was sensational. Then there was the truffle and pigeon omelette (I'll be dreaming about it for a long time), and two glasses of the house red, which was very good. Highly recommended. If you're in Orvieto, you ABSOLUTELY have to go there. I recommend making a reservation, though.

Typical Umbrian restaurant where you eat divinely without feeling heavy and....when it's your birthday that you don't want to say because that's what starts to get heavy, they improvise a mini cake with a candle 🥰😘😅🤗.Thanks again, thank you.
