First time here in Orvieto and first time at this trattoria, I can't recommend it highly enough for the friendly and discreet service, the quiet atmosphere, and the quality food. The fillet steak in red wine was spectacular! Highly recommended.

I visited this trattoria with my wife for dinner. The restaurant is historic, the ingredients are authentic, and the dishes are welcoming and sincere, yet executed with skill and knowledge. I had a first course with a hand-chopped lamb ragù, and my wife had pappardelle with wild boar. Both were excellent, accompanied by bruschetta covered in freshly grated truffle. The dessert was excellent.

I don't usually leave reviews, but both the place and its staff truly deserve it. Besides the excellent food and drink, the friendliness and helpfulness really made the difference on this beautiful November day. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The truffle pasta was so so delicious. I was walking down the street on the weekend and was drawn in by the delicious smell. I waited until opening time, and it was fully booked as soon as it opened. I went again on a weekday.

Outstanding food. Best "matricciana" I've ever have in my life. Must try the house olive oil - superb. Very nice wine list. The house wine is a great deal, but you can choose between a great variety of italian wines. Great staff. A place to come back and enjoy over and over.

Locale in pieno centro di Rieti arredato con stile; abbiamo degustato un antipasto misto di salumi, formaggi, bruschette e verdure e poi la carbonare, una con il tartufo e una senza. Piatti deliziosi ottima qualità dei prodotti. Servizio cortese e sempre attento. Prezzo nella norma.

La Palomba è la tipica trattoria ristorante Orvietano. Piatti come la carbonara Ascaro con il tartufo (creazione geniale del patron Giampiero) il filetto alla cardinale e il filetto all’ ortica appartengono al DNA RNA della cultura culinaria orvietana. Servizio impeccabile gestito in modo formidabile dalla figlia Enrica, e ambiante accogliente.

02/11/2025: I've dined at this restaurant several times, and each time it's proven to be an excellent choice, both for the quality of the food and the excellent service. I recommend the supplì with chestnuts and pecorino cheese, a true autumnal treat! The pizza is delicious and light, leaving plenty of room for dessert, the impeccable chestnut mousse!! See you soon!
02/11/2025: Semiramide has become a go-to place for us. The pizza (strictly made with sourdough) is excellent. The grilled meat is authentic, and the pasta dishes are fresh and handmade to order. The dessert is a treat that doesn't weigh you down but is a perfect end to the meal. The place is intimate, cozy, and attentive, as is the service.

Al Pozzo Etrusco da Giovanni

17/09/2025: Much nicer off season (September) when the waiting staff have more time for interaction. Food and wine selection was excellent.
16/09/2025: We ate here 20 years ago on our first visit to this wonderful town so when returning we searched it out again. It's under new owners since our first visit but the place is still great. You need to sit outside on the vine covered patio, order some house wine and enjoy the delicious meal. Would highly recommend!
