What can I say about this TRATTORIA,
written in this way because there are many places with the word trattoria but they have nothing of a trattoria unlike the Fornace which has all the requirements to be one from the place - decor - dishes - service - etc.
Very few dishes all excellent, reported verbally by two very kind ladies without a menu.
Two of us for lunch on a weekday we tasted
two first courses of short pasta one with ragù very good without being heavy with a correct amount of seasoning the other with sauce that we found slightly acidic given by the tomato,
two steaks that were not far from the Florentine in size with very tender meat with well-done cooking with side dishes of beans plus chips,
two desserts made by them composed of a soft sponge cake soaked in alchermes with layers of cream plus cream,
water - wine - coffee plus they also offered bitter or other that we did not take.
The value for money super excellent.
The only advice for those who want to eat at "La Fornace" is to book otherwise there is a high probability that you won't find a place.
Everything good and organised. Work lunch.

On the way back or from Florence we stopped for lunch.
Not having booked, they were kind enough to find a place for us.
The lady who served i. Very kind and attentive table.
We took a platter of cold cuts as an appetizer, good cured meats and really excellent ham.
As a first course, pasta with ragù
According to a mixed grill
Cadfe wine and water.
Everything really good and genuine
If you are on the road it is worth stopping and experiencing excellent value for money and service.

Before talking about food, an impromptu thought: how beautiful are the people who know how to make a restaurant "home"!
I am referring to the two ladies - and I say ladies out of respect, but they are two beautiful and very friendly young women - who serve in the dining room and always smile, understanding the needs of all the customers.
Now let's talk about the flask of good red wine, the juicy one and a half kilo Florentine steak accompanied by homemade fries, like my mother used to make many years ago.
Let's also talk about the excellent fresh bread, with which we accompanied a small but tasty platter of cold cuts and cheeses.
And finally let's also talk about the dessert, a very soft sponge cake, with cream and a drop of alchermes, exquisite in its simplicity.
We had a great time and ate just as much, with an extraordinary quality-price ratio.
Lastly, but very important for those who have a dog with them: our Franco was welcomed with great warmth and friendliness.
Must try!

When you work with a smile, especially when it comes to cooking for people, you have already won from the start. At Trattoria La Fornace the managers look after their customers, more than anything else. Certainly thanks to the fact that everyone in the area probably knows each other a little, we really had the impression of being invited to a big lunch with friends, due to the atmosphere between the tables.
Coming to the food: sincere, typical and above all delicious cuisine, from the appetizer to the dessert, including a 1.5 kg Florentine steak of which we literally left only the bone.

Siamo andati in questa trattoria dietro consiglio di amici. L’atmosfera è molto familiare. Abbiamo assaggiato gli antipasti, poi due primi e la carne cotta alla brace. Tutto squisito e con i sapori di un tempo passato. Per finire un pezzo di torta proprio come quelle che faceva mia mamma, con la crema e la panna, sublime!

Trattoria alla vecchia maniera,con comodo parcheggio a pochi metri dal locale.
Si mangia benissimo,ma occorre prenotare per tempo perchè è sempre pieno anche nei giorni feriali per via dei molti lavoratori che ci vanno a pranzo.
Abbiamo preso un ottimo antipasto di affettati,formaggi e sott'oli,a seguire spaghetti al ragù e,come secondo,la celeberrima carne alla griglia(ottima,cotta proprio come l'avevamo chiesta!),con patatine fritte,il tutto accompagnato con vino rosso,presentato rigoramente nel fiasco.
Come dessert,tiramisù e cantucci con vinsanto,poi il caffè.
Porzioni abbondanti e rapporto qualità/prezzo eccellente,ambiente informale ma estremamente piacevole,la sala e ampia ed il servizio veloce e professionale(si vede che sono abituati a tanti commensali,sono veramente bravissimi).
Molto spesso è proprio la schiettezza e la semplicità di certi luoghi che ci permettono di apprezzare la vita come era un tempo,in trattorie da riscoprire e da celebrare per come si mangia bene senza spendere troppo.
Merita davvero!
