A place just a stone's throw from the center of Piacenza. Good food and generous portions, with prices that aren't excessive. We went on Sunday for lunch, the place was crowded, but the service was still accurate.

Had dinner for two, chosen based on the photos and reviews.
Didn't disappoint, we had for starters the mixed plate of Piancenza meats all great, not dried or with the appearance of being cut before hand.
Followed by pasta with butter and sage and the aubergine with tomato and cheese. Both were ok.
For dessert the Sbrizolona with eggnnog.

A good trattoria with typical cuisine (and more) in the center of Piacenza. Despite the central area, the prices are low for the quality offered, and indeed, for the working lunch formula they are particularly honest. We came to eat Piacenza food and we were not at all disappointed: the variety of all the cured meats was excellent, while the fried gnocco unfortunately does not excel, but remains average; the first ones, however, were truly delicious. Maybe I would have put less cheese in the tortelli with the tail, but it's just a question of pure personal taste. The desserts were excellent: the zabaglione was stellar, while I would have preferred the sbrisolona with a coarser crumbling, because I found it much finer than the traditional standard. How good, however, was the little bag of phyllo pastry with cinnamon-scented apples and fior di latte ice cream! This dessert literally bewitched me, and with every bite it made me rediscover a corner of autumn. The contrast of the crunchy and hot with the cold and creaminess of the fior di latte is perfect! The place is rustic and welcoming as it should be for a trattoria, but also modern and spacious. The service was a little inconsistent, but it's also understandable, given the amount of people who come by for lunch. The man with the Roman accent, in particular, was very easygoing and attentive towards us, a detail that made the experience even more pleasant. They were very kind in not making us feel bad about having exceeded their afternoon hours; in fact, they let us finish very calmly. It was a really good experience, we were satisfied with it.

Passing through Piacenza, we stopped to consult Google. The Piacenza platter with fried gnocco is exquisite, the potato tortelloni with parmesan and truffle cream are excellent, the pumpkin and almond panzerotti are good.
The waitress was kind and smiling.
