Non fermatevi alle apparenze. Il locale era vuoto. L'accoglienza non tipica siciliana. La location è bella. Il cibo ottimo. Pasta alla norma deliziosa ed il fritto di pesce superlativo. Alla fine ci hanno anche offerto dolcetti e limoncello. Siamo stati bene nonostante tutto. Evidentemente dietro ogni persona vi è una storia che non conosciamo. Consiglio questo ristorante!

First of all, I thought they were signaling me to leave because they took our order sooooo late, but they greeted us with a smile when we were paying. The squid ink pasta reminds me of Jjapaghetti for Korean palates, and the Palermo-style mackerel pasta was a little expensive, but it felt like eating a new dish. The eggplant dish wasn't on the menu, but I asked after seeing other people's reviews saying it was delicious, and it was available, so I tried it, and it was just so-so! The most disappointing thing is that the interior of the restaurant is so pretty, but we ate outside so we couldn't enjoy the interior?
The atmosphere of the restaurant is very special. The decoration is a strange mix of objects of different styles. The service is very fast, kind. The food was delicious, the champagne was excellent! And the homemade Limincello is perfect!! We had a fantastic dinner here!

Trovata questa trattoria vicino a Piazza del Duomo, cibo molto buono (pasta alla norma e pasta con le sarde), ma proprietario che sembra farti un favore se ti da da mangiare..nessuna parola, nessun sorriso..l'antiupatia fatta persona. Prezzi oltretutto abbastanza cari. Non lo consiglio, c'è molto altro nei dintorni.

After a walking tour with a local guide we went to eat at this place at his suggestion and had a good time. From the outside it doesn't seem very different from the many tourist traps in the historic center of Catania, but in reality it turned out to be a place with a very familiar atmosphere. The interior is full of objects and ornaments, to the point that it is difficult to see the walls, but the place is clean and the cuisine (in the most rigorous Sicilian tradition) is of an excellent standard. It was a bit like when you go to eat at your grandmother's house, typical and simple dishes, but always excellent, served in a very quiet and relaxed environment. All in all a nice experience.
