I often come to Brindisi and I usually dine in the places I think are more prominent in the place. Yesterday I ventured alone into the narrow streets of the center and entered this small, well-kept and very welcoming place. But my biggest surprise was the dishes offered that were completely different from the somewhat standardized ones I've always found elsewhere. I ate fava beans with cuttlefish ink with squid and mussels and orecchiette with a spicy squid sauce that was truly delicious and with an unexpected taste. Local wine, an excellent primitivo and a spectacular San Marzano chocolate dessert. What can I say, try, try, try.

My family and I chose to celebrate Christmas Day at Trattoria la Brasciola, an intimate and welcoming family-run restaurant. I must say that the place but above all the menu far exceeded the expectations of all of us. Although we had 2 menus available, one from land and the other from sea, both with 3 first courses and 3 second courses to choose from, everyone found something unique to taste. The white lasagna with turnips and sausage among the original courses, not to mention the tagliatelle with cardoncelli, the mixed land appetizer different from the usual ones you can find in a restaurant, and last but not least the tiramisu cake which really amazed everyone for its goodness. The very affable and kind owner let us taste a glass of very, very good vin cotto. My compliments to the chef for the care with which he prepared all the courses, creativity and excellence. We will be back to enjoy other delicacies. Small recommendation, it is advisable to book if you want to be guaranteed of finding an available table. Thanks for the welcome!

Torno a mangiare dopo 4 anni e trovo la stessa qualità e genuinità. Il locale è piccolo, bisogna prenotare. Le brasciole ottime, come il resto. Prezzi giusti per un locale dentro il centro
