A delightful lakeside restaurant offering both freshwater fish and a variety of vegan options. It's hard to find a restaurant on this island that isn't a tourist trap, and this was a wonderful discovery! Reservations are required, well in advance.

Standing on that terrace overlooking Lake Maggiore feels like you're on the bow of a ship. Few dishes, as befits an osteria, but all well-prepared and made with quality ingredients.

It's located on Fishermen's Island (also called Upper Island) on Lake Maggiore, overlooking the lake near the ferry dock. We go there every time we visit the island. Excellent fish, including freshwater fish, fried fish, and pasta dishes.

I love coming to Imbarcadero — the cuisine is always delightful, especially their garganelli al ragù di pesce di lago. Carmen, Laura, their family, and the staff are wonderfully professional and welcoming, always making you feel at home.

Il ristorante ha vista sul lago maggiore e propone piatti ottimi soprattutto a base di pesce di lago spinati in modo fantastico. Il personale e gentile e le proprietarie si adoperano in modo esemplare per soddisfare i clienti. Qui vengono comunque serviti anche ottimi piatti vegani e vegetariani.

Pranzato in questa tipica trattoria. Ordinato un buon riso alla pescatora un secondo pesce misto . E per finire il loro dolci e la loro torta al limone squisita!!! Super consigliato e complimenti a tutto lo staff!!!

28/09/2025: After reading the excellent reviews, we booked a table at this trattoria. It's a small place where you can eat inside or outside. The service is quick and attentive. The trattoria is family-run, and the ingredients used are top-quality. We ordered green ravioli with pears, gorgonzola, and walnuts, braised beef with polenta, apple pie with apricot jam, and tozzetti with hazelnuts and peppery wine. We were satisfied and will definitely return as soon as we can.
20/09/2025: I used to go there often with my parents when I was much younger (we're talking about the '90s, I was about 6 or 7 years old) when the owners were the parents of the current innkeeper. Now I go there with my family and my son, who is the same age as when I went with my parents. I can say that memories of my childhood and those flavors blend with the present. Homemade, flavorful cooking, the family atmosphere of a classic osteria from another era, an experience that for me is a bit like coming home.

03/10/2025: A very positive experience. Delicious, local cuisine, especially the risotto with fresh mushrooms, truly excellent. The young staff were very friendly and attentive. Many compliments!
01/10/2025: Food was so wonderful! We ordered a special steak (37€ each minimum2person) I can say it's a great one in my life, beef was very soft and tasty! Just a little bit things made me disappointed... The salt bottle was broken.. they should change if compare with the price we paid, The kids plate was dirty like never clean... they should check or control more. But anyway was great restaurant to recommend
