It was a very nice atmosphere, and the prices were quite reasonable. The staff were helpful. Highly recommended.

The food was so authentic, hot, fresh and delicious. Service was superb!

* Squid Ink Spaghetti Plenty of squid ink. It has a rich, briny flavor with a hint of garlic. It also contains pieces of squid. The thick pasta holds the squid ink well. * Grilled Eggplant It contained not only eggplant, but also zucchini and bell peppers. Simple seasoning with olive oil, salt, and pepper. A grilled dish that brings out the sweetness of the vegetables. * Drinks Beer Aperol Spritz Limoncello (Complimentary?) I was glad I got to eat the squid ink spaghetti I had come for. At the end, we were given a complimentary (?) drink called Limoncello, which is like tequila, so I gratefully drank it all in one gulp. I don't remember the prices of the individual dishes, but the total for two people was €53.00.

After a long day exploring Venice, we stumbled into Trattoria al Poggio and could not have been happier. The food was excellent - fresh, generous, and full of flavor, exactly the kind of meal you hope to find tucked into the city's backstreets. Every plate that came out was a delight. The service was flawless. Attentive without hovering, warm, and genuinely welcoming, the kind of hospitality that makes you feel taken care of after hours on your feet. It turned a tiring evening into one of the highlights of our trip. If you're looking for a reliable, delicious meal in Venice with service that actually makes you feel like a guest, this is the place. We left full, happy, and grateful. We ordered spaghetti with oil, garlic, and hot peppers. They made it mild because it was for a child. Very tasty. Then we had a pizza, which was also very good. Very friendly staff.

Everything was wonderfull from the begging til the end. The food was amazing and very cheap. The waiters were kind and the ambience very calm with soft songs.

Great food, hospitality, and prices. We came back twice for the fish soup. The cuttlefish pasta was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Al Poggio seriously has the best fish soup in Venice. We are here the first night, then had it at a few other places but ended up coming back. The staff are super friendly, ambiance is great, food is rich and they are also open late. I will definitely come back to Al Poggio whenever I’m in Venice! Make sure you try the fish soup.

Cuttlefish risotto and noodles are both delicious! The seafood flavor is more pronounced in the risotto, I prefer the risotto.
