22/12/2025: I had the pleasure of attending a special lunch at Villa d’Andrea, one of those occasions where you immediately understand that the cuisine is the true heart of the experience. The chef's touch is immediately apparent: clean flavors, quality ingredients, and an unpredictable balance.
Even the seemingly simplest dishes manage to surprise. A simple side dish of perfectly golden baked potatoes, soft on the inside, with a natural sweetness that lingered in the mouth. It's rare to remember a side dish; here, it was impossible to forget.
Among the appetizers, the Sicilian arancinetto was fragrant and dry, the stuffed mushroom intense yet balanced, while the citrus ricotta with crispy capers was striking for its freshness and contrast.
The true masterpiece arrived with the first courses. The crispy ricotta and spinach cannelloni was simply unforgettable: a fantastic, light, golden breading enclosing a creamy, flavorful filling. The underlying sauce, special and well-crafted, elegantly tied the dish together, transforming a traditional first course into something memorable.
A great added value was the service: friendly, courteous, and always smiling, they also had the right witticisms, creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere with their guests. Attentive and quick, they always served everything piping hot, never failing to offer second helpings, a sign of great organization and attentiveness to their guests.
The elegant yet welcoming atmosphere of Villa d’Andrea makes everything even more enjoyable, perfect for important events and memorable moments.
The chef at Villa d’Andrea demonstrates an extraordinary ability to infuse even the simplest dishes with character and make the most elaborate ones unforgettable. We had lunch on December 21st and will be back on the 25th. I can't wait to see what dinner has in store. An experience I recommend without hesitation.
