What can I say... you have to come here! The place appears welcoming and warm. The staff is precise in their descriptions of the dishes and also gives advice on pairing flavors and also has a fast service. I would have taken the whole menu for the goodness and authenticity of the products but in the end we took a mixed tigelle and fried gnocco with cured meats and related spreads and a plate of ribs that melted in your mouth. Finally, we didn't miss the homemade desserts which were varied and all delicious so we had a classic tiramisu made very well with the right doses of creaminess and coffee and a black cherry tart. If I could I would have eaten a lot more. In conclusion, I absolutely recommend going at least once because you will fall in love with both the dishes and the place

Very small place, tables attached to each other. From the first to the last minute the service made us feel excessive. The waiters were argumentative with every request. They closed the kitchen without asking us if we were going to order more. We definitely won't be back.

Location in the center of Modena, very characteristic as it once was.
Small tables, but it's beautiful like this.
Good and friendly service, all in all attentive. They forgot to bring us some things on the menu that we requested.
Good, traditional food with fair prices.
For dinners with friends and relatives it is the perfect atmosphere.
Fair price (€40) compared to what was ordered: spritz, ribs, gnocco and tigelle, excellent cured meats, seasoning for gnocco and tigelle, veal with tuna sauce, baked potatoes, bottle of wine, water, coffee and bitters.
I will definitely come back 😄

I had the pleasure of having lunch at the Il Fantino restaurant and I must say that it was a more than positive experience. The excellent cuisine, with traditional local dishes prepared with fresh ingredients and attention to detail. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to satisfy every request with a smile. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect mix between quality, service and ambiance. I can't wait to go back!

Small trattoria in the center of Modena, small place, reservations necessary because it is very popular. A simple but overall very warm place, walls full of paintings of all types, from cars of historic Modena brands to jerseys from the city's sports clubs. Interesting menu, there were 5 of us, we took two menus with tigelle and fried gnocco, very good. Followed by a first course each, the tortelli with butter and sage, all accompanied by a dry Lambrusco from Settecani. To conclude, dessert and coffee. €27 per person. All very good so I highly recommend this restaurant.

A small pleasant refreshment in Modena. The environment is very well organized to accommodate many seats and also happily welcome our 4-legged friends. You can taste all the typical dishes and especially the splendid Bice tortellini (in broth). The impeccable service with waiters who are fast, precise and very attentive to satisfying customers. Compliments!

Siamo stati a cena di Sabato, in 4, abbiamo optato per il primo turno (il ristorante prevede due turni), mangiato menù degustazione con vino compreso, tutto buono e prezzi contenuti. Consigliato.

Ci sono stato dopo tanto tempo che non tornavo e ho scelto un primo a base di gnocchetti della casa a base di zucca e ragù e un contorno di funghi porcini. Sono rimasto davvero deliziato dal primo, che forse prima non era presente nel menù, perché comunque è un piatto che non è tanto comune trovare in giro.
Lo consiglio perché non è la prima volta che ne apprezzo la cucina, ma ricordo che bisogna prenotare almeno due giorni prima, perché è piccolo e molto frequentato: infatti per mangiare ci sono tre fasce orarie (alle 19, alle 20 e alle 21), di cui la seconda è molto affollata.
