I've wanted to go to Fantino for years, but I've never found a place. Word of mouth was generous with compliments and perhaps for this reason I had higher expectations than reality.
I can't say that the food is bad, but unfortunately nothing impressed me.
There were many shortcomings in the service and quality of some dishes.
The service was a bit confusing with little attention paid to the order, but overall it is sufficient and an excellent solution for a passing lunch or dinner.

Very good value for money, lovely servers. The food is plentiful and good, frankly what more could you ask for. It's not the restaurant of the year but frankly it's good, well served and well fed. No doubts to have when booking there.

The food is good and the dishes arrive quickly, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. We had contact with three employees at the restaurant and they could all have been much nicer. We had a problem with a dish and the restaurant's attitude was poor, one of the employees seemed not to care and the other questioned us in a very reactive manner, ignoring our impression of the issue. There was no apology for the inconvenience, which would have been the least we could do.

Ci sono stato dopo tanto tempo che non tornavo e ho scelto un primo a base di gnocchetti della casa a base di zucca e ragù e un contorno di funghi porcini. Sono rimasto davvero deliziato dal primo, che forse prima non era presente nel menù, perché comunque è un piatto che non è tanto comune trovare in giro.
Lo consiglio perché non è la prima volta che ne apprezzo la cucina, ma ricordo che bisogna prenotare almeno due giorni prima, perché è piccolo e molto frequentato: infatti per mangiare ci sono tre fasce orarie (alle 19, alle 20 e alle 21), di cui la seconda è molto affollata.
