An elegant yet family-friendly restaurant. Superb service thanks to the hostess, who always pays attention to detail. Dishes are simple yet sophisticated, with few ingredients but all showcased to their fullest. Spaghetti with squid ink, burrata, and shrimp was the standout dish. A truly delightful surprise.

We stopped by chance and it was a wonderful surprise! The place is very welcoming and hospitable, the staff is friendly, and we were served excellently. We chose the €35 menu with five appetizer courses, a first course, a second course, water, wine, and coffee. The food was delicious, balanced, and beautifully presented. Everything was excellent!

Prices are a little above average, but the quality of the food is very good. We appreciated the combinations of ingredients, such as turnip tops with Taggiasca olives and olives, and grilled octopus with red cabbage.

Excellent trattoria in the Viareggio dock. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Excellent seafood dishes, appetizers, and first courses.

We were passing through Viareggio and entered Il Capitano, greeted by the owner's smile. The lunch was excellent; her kindness and friendliness made our meal a truly enjoyable experience.
Definitely a stop on our next visit to Viareggio.

Weekdays, a well-stocked set menu. It's a shame the €3 cover charge is for eating with paper napkins. If I have to portion or share appetizers, they always serve paper clips. Not everyone likes too much familiarity.
