Chose this restaurant purely by chance but I highly recommend it as a must to try in the Viareggio port area.
Staff very quick in serving dishes, excellent first courses and starters.

We had dinner at Trattoria il Capitano on Saturday evening, taking advantage of a The Fork discount that we had had for some time.
The food is excellent, we ordered the stuffed mussels and the chef's tasting as a starter, the seafood risotto and tagliolini with squid ink as a first course and the tuna steak as a second course, and everything was to our liking. Furthermore, unlike what we had read in other reviews, the portions are very generous.
The atmosphere is intimate and pleasant, the place is very clean and well-kept and the service is excellent, in fact the ladies in the room are really kind and nice.
The discount was applied correctly, without us asking.

Small but nice place. Very courteous staff. We ordered a first course and a grilled fish. Although both were good, the first was small in quantity and therefore barely suitable for one person. Without the discount the price would have been excessive compared to the quantity of food but with a voucher it is doable

Very nice and well-kept environment where you can spend a romantic dinner. I would say the quality of the food is more than excellent and the dishes are very generous. Very fresh fish. I recommend it to everyone.

We tried this fish restaurant thanks to The Fork platform which, in addition to allowing us to book, offers interesting discounts for the locals present. In our case we had a 30% discount which allowed us with around forty euros to eat a five-course starter and a first course each (cover charge and drinks excluded from the discount). The service was friendly and the food was good and even though they weren't plentiful the dishes were filling. The only flaw is the "far" location (5/10min) from the seafront but it's definitely worth it! Advised!

We had a good time at this place. Thanks to the fork the value for money is fantastic, I recommend tagliolini with cuttlefish ink and the excellent sliced tuna. Kind and precise service, average service time. The interior is nice but we stayed outside because the air conditioning was too strong for us. Half a liter of house sparkling wine for 12 euros, a little too expensive.
