I came across it by chance while walking the streets around the pier. I stopped for a business lunch. I was immediately struck by the courtesy. Spaghetti with pecorino and al dente mussels, as I like them, very good. Followed by a very light fried fish and vegetables. Definitely recommended.

Saturday lunch with 2 friends. Service a little slow, but no big deal. The girl at the tables, the only one, very friendly and smiling. Abundant dishes, strong flavours, nothing extraordinary, but also nothing obscene. I was perhaps expecting better. Place with a good wine list. Clean environment, not too crowded, overall pleasant lunch.

We had dinner at Trattoria Il Capitano and were very satisfied. The place is welcoming and has a simple but pleasant atmosphere, ideal for a quiet evening. We tasted some dishes on the menu: Seafood carbonara: an interesting variant of the classic carbonara. The taste of the fish married perfectly with the creaminess of the sauce, offering a very tasty and original dish. Paccheri with calamari, prawns, cherry tomatoes and lemon: a fresh and well-balanced dish. The lemon added a touch of freshness that enhanced the flavors of the seafood. The pasta was al dente, cooked to perfection. Sliced ​​red tuna: the tuna was cooked impeccably, tender and tasty, with a light external crust that enhanced the delicacy of the meat. Tiramisu: Dessert was a worthy conclusion to the dinner. Soft and creamy, with the right contrast between the sweet and bitter coffee. To accompany dinner we chose a Prosecco Valdobbiadene, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The service was very kind and attentive, and we felt comfortable throughout the evening. In summary, Trattoria Il Capitano is an excellent choice for those looking for a fish-based dinner with original dishes and friendly service.
