Beautiful homely place, with home cooked freshly made food. Lady serving us was very friendly and explained the menu to us in English as we don't talk in Italian. Food was delicious!!! Would definitely come back!

We went to Don Ciccio, and as a true Umbrian, I can tell you we had a truly wonderful meal. The restaurant is rustic and welcoming, the kind of place where you immediately feel at home. The staff is extremely kind, attentive, and friendly, but never intrusive. The real added value? The owner is also the chef—and it shows: every dish is carefully prepared, plentiful, and full of flavor. Authentic cuisine, a family atmosphere, top-notch service. I don't think anything else needs to be said. We'll definitely be back!

Trattoria where you can enjoy traditional Abruzzo dishes, top-quality ingredients at fair prices. The Don Ciccio appetizer is amazing! The chitarra pasta with sheep ragù and spaghetti with Sulmona red garlic are spectacular! The atmosphere is simple and limited, so reservations are a must, preferably a few days in advance.

Se vi trovate in quel di Sulmona, è d'obbligo fare una sosta a pranzo o a cena i questa piccola e deliziosa trattoria li chef come un pittore decorerà con pietanze che sono dei capolavori. Personale accogliente e discreto con modi di altri tempi. Grazie a presto Don Ciccio.

El servicio fue excelente. Nuestro servidor era atento y atento y hablaba inglés, que era muy útil. Pedimos el menú fijo con cuatro entrantes, un plato de pasta y vino por 25 euros por persona. Esta opción nos proporcionó varios platos de Abruzos para degustar más un plato de pasta y vino.

11/10/2025: Sublime, warm and welcoming, friendly wait staff, quality food, it was a wonderful discovery. We were lucky to find a table, but from what I understand, you need to book well in advance. Recommended.
