Trattoria Don Camillo In Taormina

Just great for us, food was fun and interesting (and tasted very good of course). Location amazing, garden-like. Waitress spoke great English, was very helpful and knowledgeable, grazie mille!

Out of the confusion of the street, away from the trajectories of cruises. Splendid terrace, quiet and isolated. Friendly service and real food. For those trying to stay away from frozen and reheated products but looking for local flavours.

We stumbled upon this place, late night our first night in Taormina. They accommodated our group of 6, on their patio. It was amazing food, and great service. Highly recommend. My wife got the tomato salad and it was fantastic. I got the Pasta Bolagnase which was also very good.

Vimos este restaurante llenar cada noche desde nuestra habitación de hotel tan probado en nuestra última noche. Fuimos razonable temprano, así que no se apresuró y el camarero fue muy amable, lo que nos dio tiempo para una bebida y luego la comida. La comida era muy buena y una de las mejores comidas que habíamos tenido. Entrante de berenjena y pez espada y ternera y eran geniales. Se puso muy ocupado y fue entonces un poco de espera para nuevos clientes, pero sugeriría que vale la pena.

This restaurant was lovely, authentic and quiet, a little away from the hustle and bustle of Taormina's main street.We were attracted by the cosy atmosphere and menu of typical Sicilian fare. On the night we ate, there was also a rich choice of specials, presented to us by a charming and funny waitress, who made the options sound irresistible. The starter of provolone in lemon leaves, the mains of pasta with ricotta pesto, linguine with shrimps and fiori di zucca, the pasta al sardo and the seabass with herbs were prepared with care and finesse - we were happy with all of them! The desserts were very tasty too - watermelon jelly, which was very refreshing, as well as the pannacotta with peach sauce and the freshly prepared mini cannoli. The service and attitude of the staff were excellent. We only regret that we discovered Don Camillo on our last night in Taormina, otherwise we would have gone there a few more times for tasty meals.

Far from the hustle and bustle of the center of Taormina, a few steps from the main street, a quiet corner where you can always find excellent food seasoned with kindness. I've been a customer for years and it's always a real pleasure to come back 😁 I confirm that it's always a pleasure to come back. We returned on August 18, 2024 and, as always, had a wonderful time. Excellent savoys, stuffed aubergines and mussels au gratin. A certainty that remains so over the years. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
