Trattoria Don Camillo In Taormina

We had dinner there tonight: a quiet place, friendly staff, and very good food, featuring typical Sicilian dishes. Recommended!

I had a truly wonderful meal at Don Camillo in Taormina. Dishes prepared with fresh, top-quality Sicilian ingredients, authentic recipes, and flavors that respect tradition. The owner and all the staff were kind, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. A place where you can experience true Sicilian hospitality. Highly recommended.

We had the mixed grilled fish and it was absolutely delicious — very fresh and perfectly cooked! The service was excellent, the food arrived quickly, and the staff were wonderful: friendly, attentive, and warm. Cozy and beautiful atmosphere — highly recommended!

It’s a close 4. We did enjoy our evening here and most reviews are close to the truth. It’s not spectacular but it’s far from the bad reviews that drag it down. The service was really good, being from Canada our Sicilian (Italian) is non-existent at best so from the moment we arrived we were greeted in English, it’s a little thing but makes a difference. The carafe of red was exactly as I expected and since I only drink red wine in Italy (sue me) I loved it! The bruschetta was fine, nothing to rave about and the same about the scampi pasta. But the fresh sea bass with potatoes and grilled veg was excellent. We were there second week of October so it was quieter but the terrace was still fairly busy. We enjoyed it but it didn’t stand out as a return trip.

A cozy and beautiful place, a little away of the noise of the 'main street'. Attention was great, food didn't surprise me, was correct, just a bit pricey (pasta of the day was 23€).

Wonderful food and service! The menu selection is excellent. I chose the meatballs, grilled with lemon leaves and a delightful cherry tomato and onion salad. Extra-virgin olive oil and a bit of salt made the salad the most delightful experience ever, As flavorful juicy Tomatoes can provide, and the entrée outstanding, I appeal, texture, and flavor. This lovely establishment that’s slightly off the main street, yet Easily accessible. Definitely recommend!

This restaurant features a softly lit terrace. Reservations are recommended, although we were welcomed and seated very well without a reservation. The cuisine is excellent, featuring local dishes and fresh fish. Prices are excellent, and the staff is attentive and friendly.
