Trattoria dell'Orso In Orvieto

We ate lunch at this restaurant on a cold, rainy day on a recommendation from a friend. I am vegan and was very happy to see how accommodating they are in offering vegan options. I had a fantastic farro and veggie soup. For dessert I had the vegan, cashew based Panna Cotta. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. I decided to eat lunch there again the following day. I had a mushroom and truffle pasta (which they made vegan with an egg free pasta) and again had that fantastic Panna Cotta. Everything was incredible! They don't advertise the vegan Panna Cotta, but whether you are vegan or just dairy free, the Panna Cotta is a MUST! If you are in Orvietto you must try this little, out of the way restaurant. E' eccellente!

This was the only place in Italy we ate at twice. Such a quiet, lovely spot. We did dinner and then lunch. The caccio e pepe senza glutine was my favorite meal of the trip. Caprese was so fresh. Wine recommendations were incredible. Loved it here.

Trattoria Dell'Orso is a place where time stands still and everything becomes a dream come true. The quality of the products is one of the best I've ever experienced. I wish I could transport this place everywhere, along with those who are part of it, to make every moment unique and wonderful. Without a doubt, it's the best one could wish for, and it will always go far beyond the best possible expectations. That's why I'm grateful for what will be and what has already been. A delightful restaurant located in the city center. Delicious food and very friendly staff. We highly recommend the stuffed pigeon.

Great experience... We came to Orvieto for a short trip. At lunchtime, we looked for a restaurant and found Trattoria dell'Orso. We ate very well, everything was truly delicious. The staff was kind and attentive. Highly recommended. P.S. The background music was also perfect.

Reservations a must! Well worth the visit! Setting is casual and inviting, service is attentive and food delicious! Claudio was wonderful with choice of wine! Highly recommend the boar ragout and rack of lamb...the apple pie was incredible!

Viaggio in famiglia con tappa di un giorno a Orvieto. Scegliamo questa trattoria in ricerca di sapori umbri e non siamo stati delusi; primi della tradizione, piccione ripieno e faraona squisiti. Il tutto accompagnato da un Orvieto di buon livello, consigliato dall’appassionato proprietario. Dessert all’altezza del resto. Sicuramente consigliato!

A Orvieto si mangia bene quasi ovunque ma questo ristorante ha una marcia in più e si sente. La qualità delle tagliatelle al tartufo è ottima come pure l’agnello e il cinghiale. Unico appunto che sul menù era riportato tra i piatti del giorno il tagliere di formaggi ma … i formaggi erano finiti! Prezzi nella media. Utile la prenotazione.
