The signature orso pasta, named after the store, is a tomato-based pasta that will not be liked or disliked. They also sell truffle pasta, so if it’s on the menu del giorno-tartufo (today’s menu), be sure to try it! Steaks are also perfectly cooked! It's recommended. Even if you order wine by the glass, it comes out as orvieto superior :)

On a cold and windy night in Orvieto, we came across a pleasant discovery: the Trattoria dell'Orso, a welcoming refuge where the warmth of hospitality and the authentic flavors of Umbrian tradition made the evening unforgettable. Personal The staff were friendly, kind and very welcoming, creating a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere for the whole experience. Location The environment is a bit retro and dated, but still very characteristic and in line with the charm of a traditional trattoria. Dishes • First courses: The umbrichelli with wild boar and truffle and the fettuccine with mushrooms and truffle were excellent. The pasta was well cooked, the portions adequate and the sauce generous, also allowing the pleasure of the shoe. There is great attention to the quality of the ingredients. • Second: The duck breast in red wine reduction and caramelized onions was cooked to perfection. The texture of the duck was soft and well balanced by the seasoning. • Side: The potatoes were a real surprise: simply "spacey". We also recommend tasting the aromatic herbs (sage and rosemary), which add a "wow" touch to the dish. • Sweets: Here the experience was less exciting. Most of the desserts were finished, and the pistachio semifreddo turned out to be rather anonymous, a shame because dessert is important to end a meal well. I count We ordered 2 first courses, 1 second course, 1 side dish, 2 desserts and 3 glasses of wine, for a total of 80 euros. Although the price is fair for the quality of the dishes and the overall experience, if it had been 10 euros less, it would have been really great. Overall, slightly high. Conclusion Despite the unmemorable sweet ending and a somewhat high bill, Trattoria dell'Orso offers a culinary experience that we highly recommend. Typical Orvieto trattoria, I live near Orvieto and I was there for dinner, excellent traditional Umbrian dishes, small and welcoming environment, it maintains the charm of the Umbrian/Lazio tavern of the past. The service is professional, the wine list is extensive, the food is of high quality and the price is absolutely honest. The two of us had tagliolini with truffles, umbrellas with ragù and truffles, sliced ​​meat, cooked vegetables and dessert. All accompanied by a Chianti reserve. We will return when possible.

We stopped for lunch on the way back from Rome. Everything was perfect from the starters, to the first courses, through to the second courses and side dishes. They also have vegetarian options (delicious spelled soup). Excellent room service, very helpful and courteous. If I'm in the area again I will definitely come back. Well done!

The best duck breast I've eaten in my life!!! But the first courses and the pork shank are also delicious!! All in a very nice and welcoming restaurant, certainly made so by the kindness and friendliness of the staff. I highly recommend it to anyone who happens to be in Orvieto!!!

Ristorante molto accogliente nel centro storico di Orvieto ..mise en place classica,semplice e a mio modo di vedere “perfetta”! I piatti del giorno scritti a matita su di un semplicissimo foglio sono un’ulteriore tocco in più di semplicità e bellezza! I piatti uno più buono dell’altro, più siamo andati avanti con le portate e più aumentava la voglia e la curiosità di assaggiare! La cacio e pepe il petto d’anatra e la torta di mele dei capolavori!!! Torneremo sicuramente il prima possibile!!!

Small trattoria in the heart of Orvieto with few seats but very well looked after Fairly classic menu with some daily variations, good wine list I tasted some very good mixed bruschetta, the tagliatelle with truffles were delicate and really tasty...perhaps the portion was slightly small (20-30g more of pasta would be enough), this is the reason for the 4 stars.

Ero già stato in questo storico ristorante nel centro di Orvieto anni fa e ne avevo un piacevole ricordo, per cui senza indugio ho deciso di ritornare. La mia scelta non poteva essere migliore, cibo eccellente e grande cortesia dei titolari, atmosfera familiare che ho molto gradito. Ultimo ma non per ultimo un rapporto qualità prezzo decisamente positivo. In sintesi non posso che consigliare vivamente questo ristorante a chiunque voglia passare un po' di tempo in un'atmosfera serena mangiando ottimo cibo e volendo eventualmente usufruire di un'ottima carta dei vini
