Unique location. Few typical local dishes are eaten, but they are good. For those who have walking problems I do not recommend it because you have to climb a lot of steps to get there.

Very suggestive place with a beautiful view of the lake. Lake menu prepared and cooked according to true tradition! At each course the explanation of the dishes by the boys makes you appreciate what you are eating even more. The interior is small but very characteristic and welcoming. In summer you can have lunch on the terrace while admiring the lake. I will definitely come back. As I have enjoyed the laghéé tradition here, I will not find it elsewhere.

I'll start by saying that, being with 4 friends in the area, we tried calling the place exactly 15 minutes before arriving, and despite this we found kindness and courtesy. Reserved parking (for the area it is a must have), small garden with relaxation chairs that can be used after lunch a few steps down from the restaurant, with lake view. Let's talk about the menu, it's true the fixed menu doesn't allow you any variations, but if you stop in a typical restaurant, it's also part of the experience to taste the local specialties. I probably wouldn't have chosen some dishes if I could, but I pleasantly changed my mind given that everything was delicious, the staff were attentive and, for each dish, there was a description complete with a story of its origin according to tradition. I would also add, 2 out of 5 with lactose intolerance, we received absolutely adequate treatment, and neither of the 2 was affected in the slightest by what we consumed. Accompanying wine (included in the fixed menu), Pinot Grigio, but here we played at home because it is a wine to my taste. A place where you still feel the affection of the people who work there. I recommend it

Unique Italian experience ! The food is homemade. They bring you wine and plates of food and they even had homemade limoncello at the end ! The owner was so nice and the food was insane ! Simple yet delicious what Italian food is all about !

I was there today for lunch. I must say that I was able to taste lake fish dishes from times gone by. All dishes were explained in an exemplary way by the owner. Then what can I say, compliments must be paid to the chef who manages to bring out the taste of a so-called poor fish. Congratulations guys. 👏👏👏

memorable place. tasty, beautiful, quiet. Quite difficult to find in the dark, but worth it. The path is very picturesque. Access only on foot, about 400 m from the road. There is no parking nearby. But don't pay attention to all these difficulties. Come and enjoy!

Wonderful place. Fixed menu for 45 euros, but considering this includes 5 amazing courses and half a bottle of wine, pretty good value. Food was fantastic and the service excellent, the restaurant itself is also really cosy with a great view. The whole thing is an experience more than anything else, like a tasting menu guiding you through traditional Como fare. Loved it. Prepare for steep steps though!

Wow, wow, WOW! If you’re looking to avoid the tourist traps around Lake Como and experience truly local Lombardian fare, this must be at the top of your list. With exquisite fish dishes, incredible views, and the warmth of the very best of Italian hospitality, Trattoria del Porto exceeds the mark in every aspect. This is THE PLACE to eat the local dish “Riso e Pesce” or Rice and Fish. Reservations are highly recommended and the place is truly an adventure to find, but it’s so worth it in every aspect. I cannot wait to go back!

Encantadora cena de pescado de lago local fijo en Careno, Lago di Como. Su segundo aperitivo - Polenta y pescado salado bien servido y sin olvidar, el plato principal - Filetes de arroz y perca. El menú del restaurante cambia dependiendo de la temporada. El propietario, Antonio Zambra, encantador y amable mientras nos sirve e introduce todos los platos presentados. Tenga en cuenta que todos los huéspedes de su restaurante necesitan subir y bajar 300 escalones para ir a su restaurante o en barco y reservar solo por teléfono.

Non è uno di quei posti che passi e ti fermi perché ci arrivi via lago o camminando tra le stradine impervie del borgo di Careno. Bella vista se si mangia in terrazza ma anche dentro e’ un gioiello della tradizione lariana: sembra un crotto . Menu fisso rigorosamente con pesce di lago. Pietanze dai sapori ricercati e particolati (missoltino top). Nel prezzo e’ tutto incluso: coperto, acqua, caffè, limoncello prodotto da loro ed una bottiglia di fantastico bianco fermo e fresco. Servizio veloce, molto discreto e con spiegazione delle tradizioni lariane! Al ritorno si smaltisce metà della cena ma merita anche la passeggiata bella ripida. Eccezionale veramente.
