Two of us went on August 18th. It was packed, with both business lunches and the à la carte menu. Despite the busy schedule due to other businesses being closed for vacation, the service was good. The staff were friendly and courteous. The menu was excellent, and I chose the à la carte option. The pizzas I saw being served made a great impression, and I think they're worth a try. The owner or manager was kind and helpful. It's a bit far from Ferrara, unfortunately. I hope to return and try other dishes.

The restaurant is clean, and although it doesn't overlook the sea, the understated decor and soft lighting make it welcoming. The service was attentive, the staff friendly and willing to accommodate our requests, even customizing dishes based on food intolerances. Highly recommended for those looking for fresh seafood and friendly service: we'll definitely be back for a lovely evening with friends or for a special occasion.

We dined at Trattoria del Ponte, on Corso Sempione in Gallarate, inspired by the excellent online reviews. We were immediately struck by the relaxed atmosphere and the very helpful staff, who explained the menu and daily specials. We started with a trio of ultra-fresh seafood: tasty and well-balanced raw fish and shellfish. We continued with spaghetti al cartoccio, authentic in flavor and carefully presented. The mixed fried calamari was light, crispy, and not at all greasy. Each dish was prepared with attention to the raw ingredients.

20/05/2025: Very simple pizzeria, no frills, with few seats. Friendly and patient service (be careful when cutting pizzas from children, for example). Good pizza and great prices like you don't see anymore in Varese, unfortunately. Informal atmosphere.
28/03/2025: A 1960s-70s-style pizzeria with simple, slightly retro decor. The pizza is good but not perfect. Limited selection of draft beers. Fairly convenient parking. Fast and friendly service. Average.

Circolo di Cerro

02/06/2025: Abbiamo visitato l’Eremo di S.Caterina dove ci hanno consigliato questo Circolo per pranzare bene e con prezzi ridotti. Effettivamente abbiamo gustato un buon risotto ai frutti di bosco e taleggio (minimo per 2): gnocchi zola e speck e tagliatelle al ragù gradevoli, un vitello tonnato in grazia di Dio e pesce saporito (consiglieremmo soltanto al cuoco un uso più moderato del sale). Arredamento semplice e ordinato. Servizio veloce con personale cordiale e disponibile. In conclusione, il consiglio si è rivelato valido, sebbene i prezzi (data la categoria del locale) non siano risultati così convenienti: va detto che comunque nei giorni feriali c’è un menu a prezzo fisso davvero economico. In ogni caso, trovandoci in zona ci torneremmo (meglio prenotare).
18/05/2025: Si mangia benissimo. I prezzi sono più da ristorante che da 'circolo' di paese ma ne vale davvero la pena. Porzioni abbondanti anche fin troppo!! Location casalinga ma ben pulita e personale accogliente
