Lunch with many friends. We mainly ordered paniscia. It wasn't appreciated because it was very dry and flavorless. First, we were served a few basic appetizers. Essentially, boiled salami and gorgonzola with polenta. I think we'll look for other places in the area.

I highly recommend it: ample parking, very kind owner and waiter, simple, carefully prepared, delicious local dishes, excellent value for money.

In the heart of the Novara countryside, amidst rice fields, next to a beautiful medieval castle dating back to approximately 1400, lies a restaurant/trattoria that focuses on Novara cuisine, using quality, local ingredients. The spacious main dining room, with its large arched windows, is filled with light and opens onto an outdoor veranda that, in warmer weather, offers views of the surrounding countryside. Inside, there are also other, more intimate yet interconnecting rooms. The cuisine stands out for its locally sourced ingredients. Among the various dishes, the delicious and always sought-after panissa and the well-prepared fried frogs take diners back to distant memories. The cured meats served as appetizers are worth a try for their authenticity. Excellent service, attentive and capable of guiding and advising, ensures everyone's needs are met. Courtesy is the key to dining experience. A traditional restaurant worth trying to find a connection between flavors and memories that aren't always found. A great experience at competitive prices.

The food is excellent, the waiters are very kind and knowledgeable, and the location isn't contemporary. The authenticity of the ingredients and raw materials is immediately evident on the palate; the hazelnut semifreddo deserves a second helping. Highly recommended.
