A Hidden Gem in Orvieto – Absolutely Phenomenal We had dinner at Trattoria del Moro Aronne in Orvieto, and it was one of the most memorable meals of our trip. Important tip: Make reservations. This is a small, cozy restaurant, and we watched them turn away multiple walk-ins throughout the evening. The Wine: Don't overlook the house red – it's excellent and the perfect complement to their dishes. And limoncello at the end of the meal was fantastic! What We Ordered: Eggplant Parmesan (appetizer) – Quite possibly the best I've ever had. Perfectly executed. Bird's Nest Vegetarian Lasagne with Pecorino and Honey – This was Creamy, subtly sweet, and so light it practically melted in my mouth. The combination of savory pecorino with a touch of honey was absolutely divine and surprisingly refreshing. Tagliatelle with Wild Boar Sauce – Pure, rich deliciousness. No tomato in this sauce – just deep, concentrated flavor that lets the wild boar shine through. Steak with Gorgonzola and Chocolate – My husband's choice, and he loved it. Who would have thought it paired so well! It was delicious! Dessert: We ordered both the tiramisu and the "chocolate cake." Get the chocolate cake. It's not actually a cake – it's a warm, molten chocolate mound surrounded by cream. Heavenly. The atmosphere is intimate and cozy, and the service was wonderful. This place delivers an exceptional dining experience without any pretension. Highly recommend!

A trattoria in the historic center of Orvieto that's definitely worth a try. We had dinner with our dog and ate delicious, traditional dishes. The service was impeccable, but above all, the staff was knowledgeable, extremely kind, and incredibly fun.

Exceptional food, the wild boar is a must-try, either as a main course or with tagliatelle. Generous portions, fair prices. Friendly staff. Reservations are required by phone.

My husband had dinner here on our one night in Orvieto and would absolutely recommend! Cozy, intimate restaurant and delicious local cuisine. We tried the carpaccio, wild boar pasta, and pigeon. Everything was cooked wonderfully and very reasonably priced. Service was a bit slow but normal by Italian standards. The dining area is fairly small, so make a reservation or be prepared to possibly wait.

La Trattoria del Moro è uno di quei posti che ti riconciliano col buon mangiare al centro di una città turistica (molto turistica), cioè dove ci si potrebbe aspettare la (ahimè) consueta trappola per turisti, si scopre invece un ristorante con cibo ottimo, personale cortese e preparato e prezzi molto onesti. Location centrale ma tranquilla, molto ben arredata in maniera ccogliente. Carbonara di fave e baffo ottima, baccalà all’orvietana e pollo alla cacciatora top, contorni di verdure fresche ottimi, calice di Orvieto fresco: e quindi... what else? Ho molto apprezzato anche il proprietario, gentile, professionale, battuta pronta ma non invadente, che una volta tanto non ci ha propinato l'usuale pistolotto su olio EVO, km zero etc etc... facendo parlare solo i suoi prodotti: BRAVO!|!! Torneremo ;-)

Abbiamo mangiato qui a pasquetta e nonostante fosse un giorno festivo e il locale fosse pieno siamo stati subito serviti, con gentilezza e professionalità. Cibo ottimo, anche oltre le aspettative, locale delizioso, e ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Noi abbiamo preso tra le alte cose il loro tagliere, un pecorino al forno con tartufo (fuori menù), carbonara di fave e baffo, nido di rondine pecorino e miele, tagliata al tartufo.
