It's the second time I've been there, a typical trattoria with always different cuisine, the dishes are original and well prepared. I recommend it.

Provata casualmente quest' estate ha continuato ad essere un punto di riferimento per le nostre visite nel Veronese. Bella d'estate all' aperto e calda d'inverno nei locali all'interno. Tutti i piatti assaggiati fino ad ora sono meritevoli. Mio marito resta fedele all' ottima carbonara.

Santa Felicita

31/12/2024: This was our last dinner in Verona. We really liked how the place looked—it’s truly unique to have dinner inside a church, surrounded by fragments of frescoes, interior details, and many other elements that are fascinating to observe. The ambiance is undoubtedly the main highlight of this restaurant. My recommendation: if you want to dine here, make sure to book a reservation on their website. The restaurant is always fully booked, and they can’t accommodate changes if your plans shift and you want to dine earlier. (I made the reservation just a few hours before, and there were still enough time slots available at that point.) The food was good and tasty, and the menu featured local ingredients like horse meat and polenta. However, we didn’t experience any “culinary fireworks,” especially considering the price. That said, the desserts were excellent and definitely memorable! Unfortunately, the restaurant’s organization that evening left much to be desired. Perhaps someone from the staff was absent or unwell, but the service felt a bit chaotic. This turned out to be the fastest dinner we’ve ever had—exactly 1 hour and 15 minutes. Here are some points that influenced our overall impression: - We were seated at a wobbly table. It’s something that could have been checked beforehand, rather than seating guests at a table that felt like it had just been added last minute to fit us in. - We asked for a regular bottle of water, and while they brought the bottle, they didn’t provide any glasses. When I finally got a glass and started drinking, I noticed it had a chipped edge. This is very dangerous, as a guest could easily get hurt. We pointed it out to the waiter, but the glass wasn’t replaced—they just nodded as if to say, “Thanks for letting us know.” - We ordered antipasti and specifically mentioned several times that we wanted to share the dish. When it was served, they brought us just one fork! We laughed, assuming they would bring more cutlery shortly. When the waiter returned, we mentioned it again, and they brought us one more fork and a single plate. This felt very unprofessional. - Before we even finished our antipasti, they brought out the main courses. We were really surprised because normally there are clear serving rounds, and we expected the mains to arrive after the antipasti with a small pause. Instead, our table was completely overcrowded with plates. At the end of the evening, we decided to order coffee and desserts. But as soon as we mentioned coffee, the waiter rushed off without giving us a chance to complete the order. We had to call him back just to add the desserts. It felt very unpleasant, almost as if they were in a hurry to get us to leave. When I went to pay for the dinner, I shared my feedback with the manager. To make up for the issues, he offered us complimentary limoncello shots. While it was a nice gesture, the overall experience left a lingering disappointment that couldn’t be erased by limoncello.
29/12/2024: Enchanting place with a beautiful atmosphere that envelops you in this deconsecrated church, friendly staff and well-made dishes.. Highly recommended

Taverna Scalchi

22/12/2024: Love at first sight, we can't find any other words to encapsulate the essence of the Casa degli Spiriti, where we celebrated and celebrated our wedding. The setting on Garda is breathtaking, but the attention to detail, the superb dishes and the professionalism of Sara and Federico truly made our Big Day simply perfect. Thank you very much for everything ❤️
12/11/2024: Given that we had a very pleasant day and that the staff was very kind, I cannot help but evaluate the place for the price range in which it is offered. The food was mediocre, especially compared to what you can eat in the Lake Garda area for the same money. Some notes about the menu we tasted: - in the starters some flavors are too unbalanced, often excessively salty - you cannot present leavened products with "our philosophy is that they are a course in themselves" and then present a piece of focaccia and a small loaf, which are otherwise modest - the chawanmushi very interesting, but the portion exaggerated - bigoli at the press with a small portion - very salty mushrooms in the beef - the rather insignificant dessert As for wines, the price increase is excessive (x3), especially considering the labels. 18 euros for a welcome glass for a Franciacorta which on the market costs 27 a bottle is unacceptable. Price: on the menu card it is 90 euros but does not include cover charge (which even if bread is considered a course is excessive at 10 euros) and coffee at 5 euros which I didn't find so special. In total, a lunch for two costs just under 350 euros. Location: exceptional view, wonderful view not only of Garda but also the surrounding hills. Nice garden to take a walk in. The room, on the other hand, would need a little sprucing up, a few details left to chance with dust and cobwebs and crumpled sheets. Everything is ok in a normal restaurant, but not when you place yourself at the level of a starred one. Conclusion: I'm almost sorry to be so drastic with the young chef, but for these figures something more really needs to be done. Better to work a little more in the kitchen rather than stop by to say hello to the tables at the end of the meal, perhaps it's not the time yet. Maybe in a few years. Good work!
